No, I don't understand that banter at all.

'Kraut bombers coming over the English Channel!'

'krauts = cabbage. Cabbage crates = lots of Krauts. Briney = salt water.

WW2, battle of Britain, German fliers crossimg the English Channel.

Spoof WW2 RAF fighter pilot chatter.

Yeah. I know. What I posted was Chapman's next line.

Have you seen the sketch?

I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

More serious adverse effects (not affects): anti-Christian, anti-establishment humor (which I loved when young) helped destroy the British nation. Other than that, it was great!

When Monty Python first aired on KERA (Dallas’ PBS station) in the mid ‘70s, I was immediately hooked. As others have said, others in their lives just never got them.

My favorite bit was the Bishop.

Fast forward to the late ‘90s-early 2000s, we attended a Texas Rangers game. A couple teens sat behind us with their dads. They spent the whole evening riffing Python bits, as if they had discovered Monty Python and no one else knew about them. Wink
