Does the fact that there's plants which like to eat meat disturb you?

Don't they actually eat bugs?

I have but don't really care to.

We had a Venus Fly trap, and occasionally fed it ground beef.

If you're goin' through hell, keep on going.
Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.

If you just put some sweet potato in the Venus Fly Trap, you can teach it to be vegan. They love it.

What a cruel thing to do to a meat eating entity. Big Grin

Would meat-eating plants develop the same kind of rank flavor reputed to develop in carnivores as compared to herbivores?

Yeah. The next time he's at Ruth's Chris waiting on a medium rare ribeye maybe they'll bring him a fucking sweet tater & see if he loves it. Big Grin

That mental picture made me smile. Yam pressed into the shape of a rib eye or t-bone.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I think as long as you don't eat the liver of the Venus Fly Trap you'll be okay.
