Torture test for a Sig Romeo 5. The end is the most impressive.

Thanks for posting. I may have to pick up one of these. I had not looked into these Sig sights and the price is very appealing!

The overall presentation was well done...not the overblown hammering your ears music and "tacticool" running and gunning...just a calm matter of fact review Smile

It might be better if you made the title a little clearer to reflect the content...Para has sorta requested this...just sayin' Smile...that's a good review...shame a lot of people will never see it.

Oh yea, the nebulous "look at MEEEEE" thread title.

Should be in rifle section as well.

Yeah, companies have finally broken the code on Chinese manufacturing. Go to plant in China, clearly outline your expectations of quality, ensure they are met = profit!

PA figured it out with their MD-ADS series, Holosun with their own line and now Sig with the Romeo series...all likely made in the same factory...

I had an NCO who bought a Sig rifle that came with their first POS Chinese optic foray...we promptly took it to the range brand new and the optic failed on the 1st magazine!

I trust my life to Aimpoint...but I only splurged on one of those. My other dots are all PA models and I wouldn't hesitate to get a Romeo and would bet my life on a Romeo or my PAs if needed.

They are fantastic little optics.
I have a couple of both the Romeo5 & new PA micro dots.
I have three Aimpoints , purchased for their reputation.
But I actually prefer the Romeo5s given the job I'll be using them for.

I sat through that entire video which could have been summed up in a couple of minutes. I kept hoping he would get to the point.

Sigh.

"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -Mencken

They had the Romeo5 XDR for $229. I ordered it Fri and got it today. I'm thinking about getting the 5 for my son and he doesn't have anything to put it on yet. Smile
