The III% was originally predicated on the Revolutionary War. 3% of the people actually signed up and joined the Continental army.

This really took off when former ESPN host Jemele Hill, known ant-white Kaepernick supporter and desperate to stay relevant, tweeted out that the NFL can find a job for a "known white supremacist" but not Kaepernick.

I heard he was going to cover up his tattoo, likely because his agent told him to do it before he gets cut. What a joke!

I too started reading about them after this story broke. I too haven't been able to find much about them other than their webpage or some slanderous piece about how evil they are, but no reason why.

Other than this story I'd not heard of them before.

What is a "Three Percenter"?

During the American Revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists. They were in turn actively supported by perhaps 10% of the population. In addition to these revolutionaries were perhaps another 20% who favored their cause but did little or nothing to support it. Another one-third of the population sided with the King (by the end of the war there were actually more Americans fighting FOR the King than there were in the field against him) and the final third took no side, blew with the wind and took what came.

Fun fact: 97% of boats in the US are 25' and under. The remaining 3% are over 25', but I'm guessing that's not the 3%ers being referred to here.

Did we need a new club/clubhouse/vaguely-clever name thing to sort of describe most here?
