I was never really a fan. But will admit to enjoying Dolph Schayes and the Syracuse Natsionals as well as the Harlem Globetrotters (especially Meadowlark Lemon) back in my youth. But when the Nats moved I moved on to never return.

What the league is these days is something I can't watch or enjoy.

Well, it seems Lebron may have let Adam Silver have his balls back long enough for an interview:

it's a stupid GAME.Nothing more.

The participants are overpaid for the job they perform.

Oh come on, fellas. I was really counting on the NBA to solve this nation's problems.

Someone made a great side by side meme, one side was Lebron being carried off the court with leg cramps, and other side was the LASD Deputy who after being shot multiple times managed to get herself and her partner out of their car and to a defensive position while awaiting help.

Of course when asked if he was going to contribute to the reward for finding the shooter he could only muster up a "no comment". Clown.

Weren’t the founders all ball players? I heard Madison could hit threes at will.

I could not agree more. They throw a ball at a hoop. I lost all interest in pro sports back when professional baseball first went on strike. How many of these prima donnas could get, and hold a real job?

Somewhere along the way Americans got confused and started thinking athletes and other celebrities opinions mattered. We just need them to perform for our entertainment. Here they have gone and Dixie Chicked themselves. Just shut up and sing.

The sports transformation in clearly underway. I was once a sports junkie. I watch hockey, golf, basketball and of course football. I graduated from HS in Green Bay so I had a bit of alliance there. Now I may watch 1 or 2 college football games a week, but that’s it. No more pro sports.

Not a mistake, I think...even in retrospect. Jordan wouldn't have thrived in a Bill Fitch scheme...

I lost interest in watching overpaid, underworked idiots play children's games about the time I got out of high school. They're called games for a reason- they're NOT important.

If I wanted the opinion of someone who can chase & catch balls, I'd ask my Labrador retriever.

1. Olajuwan
2. Bowie
3. Jordan

Bowie was three years behind me in high school. Same class as my sister.

'86 was a great year for New England sports.

As for the NBA, I kinda wish they'd triple down on their bullshit so NO ONE would watch.

My understanding is that the Blazers didn't draft Jordan because they already had Clyde Drexler. Point is you should take the best player and then use him at trade bait instead of taking someone that fits.

Back on topic: during his playing days, Jordan didn't get into politics. In fact, he took criticism for not endorsing politicians. I don't know the authenticity of the quote but he supposedly said "Republicans buy sneakers, too."
