By the way, if you're not already planning to, I'd definitely recommend getting an alignment done at the shop. Everything now is probably a little out of whack.

Most certainly will be done once I get the front to the proper height.

The front suspension on the GTO should be easier.

wolfe 21I like cars that corner, so I'd throw the Hotchkis catalog at it and then go for an injected v8 and 6spd. And big brakes and sticky tires.
For a cruiser, it sounds like you have a solid foundation. I would replace the tires if they have been sitting as long as the car has and I like
Keystone rims. They have a look similar to the OE Pontiac rims.
