I've never fully understood the Pizzagate story because, frankly, the whole thing sounded really stupid, and this guy sounded like an idiot.

It seems to me that his poor choices at this recent traffic stop are merely a continuation of his brilliant past behavior, but I have no doubt that the conspiracy theorists will jump on this like starving wolves.

I never understood it either, and this guy seems to have a history of making poor choices especially his last one.

Welch, back in 2017, had come to the restaurant to ‘self-investigate’ the PizzaGate claims. He used the rifle to blow open a locked door after a failed attempt with a butter knife. After about 20 minutes inside the restaurant alone, he exited the building with the weapons left inside.

A regular James Bond he was.

As much as him getting killed by the police makes for a great addition to the over all sinister story and a great plot twist, it seems more like stupid people continuing to be stupid.

Traffic Stop- Options:

A. Receive a ticket.

B. Receive Bullets.

"Gosh, I don't know. I am feeling kind of lucky today. I'll go with option B."

I don't know anything about this supposed pizza/pedo controversy.
In skimming the article, though, the police report states that the arresting officer "recognized" the person as having a felony parole violation. Kannapolis is a town of 60,000 folks.... does seem odd that an officer would recognize someone driving by as having an outstanding warrant for a parole violation.
What are the odds ??

Pretty good actually if the officer is good. One of the first things I learned when I became the police that I had no clue prior to.
Is how many people have warrants, the number of active warrants in a community will surprise you.

Nope. A good cop has a good idea who may have a good warrant if he/she has done a little homework.

Also, and ask any cop, you will learn all your pains in the ass/frequent flyers/repeat customers in your district/area/zone/precinct in pretty short order. I don’t care about how big or small it is either. You will get to know them.

Not only did I know all my miscreants, once we received an active warrant, our CAD system notified me of it, providing I was the arresting officer in the case that resulted in the warrant.
Also, I made it a point to know the cars my customers drove.

The article states:
quote:
According to the release on the Kannapolis Fire and Police Facebook page, sometime around 10pm on January 4th, a Kannapolis Police Officer saw a 2001 GMC Yukon and recognized the vehicle “as one normally driven by an individual who he had previously arrested and knew had an outstanding warrant for arrest.” The warrant was reportedly for Felony Probation Violation.
Crystal clear

So if we, say, abolished the police, my guess is guys like this would not last long on the street.
