Grandson's mom has a 2013 Subaru Tribeca with both headlights out. She hasn't checked the fuse yet so we're hoping that's it. Dealer says you have to remove part of the front bumper just to replace the bulbs. Anyone know if this is BS or not. If you have that model and know of another way to replace the bulbs please let me know. Single mom will greatly appreciate the help.

I don't own one but here you go. The first one may be the better video.

I had a 2009 Tribeca in today, but for something else. If I had known about this post I might have taken a quick look.

Not for certain. The Tribeca is a relatively uncommon model. However, the odds are better than even that the dealer is telling the truth. I did recently have to take the bumper off a 2010 Legacy sedan for a headlight. Many other car makes/models do as well.

Looks like my son may volunteer to do it. Don't know why sense they don't get along but he says he's done one before and it's a 2 hr job. You have to remove the front bumper and headlights to do it. What idiot designed that vehicle? He's watched the videos also. Thanks for the help.

They may want to consider replacing the halogen bulbs with led’s if they are available / compatible, especially if they are planning to keep the vehicle for a while (as they should last longer and they won't have to go through the hassle again as soon).

Had to do the same on my daughter’s 2008 Buick Lacrosse. Gotta pull the bumper back enough to access the headlighrs. Don’t know who designed these things.

Not my Sub. She says she's wanted one for years and finally got one. Not the greatest one in the world at picking cars.
