I don't understand how anyone survives the lack of oxygen or the temperature at 30,000 ft.

Could a guy get crushed as soon as the gear retracted? There can't be much space in there.

Mt Everest is just a bit over 29,000ft.

AOC will certainly demand that Boeing enlarge wheel wells, pressurize them, install a head, and demand flight attendant service down there.

A client of mine related a story of a skydiver landing in his driveway while my client was mowing his yard. Unfortunately, the skydiver’s chute streamered and my client heard his screams....right before he splattered in the driveway. When he rolled the body over, it turned out to be a friend.

Allegedly, but no, it's not possible. The article is woefully uninformed.

Time of useful consciousness at altitude is 15 seconds. Beyond that brain damage will occur due to lack of oxygen. It's an issue of partial pressure.

The kid in Hawaii prompted considerable discussion, but he most definitely wasn't where he claimed to be, nor was the case what everyone thought it was. He was not in the gear well.

That's not a landing. That's a bounce. Bounces are very fatal.

I spent quality time in intensive care following a parachute malfunction in the early 90's.

Most of the time, yes.

What most don't realize, however, is that in order to retract the landing gear, the gear doors that are partially enclosing the wheel wells must open; anyone hiding inside when the gear is retracted will be dumped out unless they're able to hang onto a hydraulic line or a piece of structure, but the odds of them surviving the gear cycle aren't great. That gear is moving under 3,000 psi hydraulic pressure, and unlike a minivan door, it doesn't have sensors that stop it if something gets in the way.

I am not going to argue on a forum about whether it is possible or not, I have no idea but there are many news articles that claim so (of coarse there are unique circumstances like low altitude weather avoindance in some of them). If anyone is interested wiki has a list of over 100 of these events complete with the city pairs, aircraft type, result, and link to the article. The one that started this post is even on there already... wheel well stowaway flights.
