Where to get simple relatively inexpensive cigar humidor
Website and model number that you would recommend. Just to hold five or six cigars for a beginner to intermediate cigar smoker. Portable would be a great bonus.
Pelican style boxes from Amazon or generic from Harbor Freight along with Boveda packs is about perfect and very budget friendly.

This is the answer. I use Xikar brand humidors that mimic Pelican cases. Hold humidity so much better than any affordable wooden humidor. I also use Boveda packs. This message has been edited. Last edited by: mttaylor1066,

Any quality plastic food storage container with an airlock-lid will work perfectly, like the Rubbermaid Brilliance line pictured below.
25 years ago before I bought a wood humidor and a wine coolerdor, I used a Tupperware container for a liitle while and it worked fine.

The answer to Where.... or any of the online cigar companies will have plenty of options.
If you have a local shop, check in there, they typically stock all kinds and you can get your hands on them and see what you like.

As HRK mentioned the cigar companies Cigar International, Thompson, etc. often have promotions giving them away with your order.

I have a Herf A Dor travel humidifier that sounds like exactly what you are looking for. It holds up to 10 sticks in 2 layers. I throw in a Boveda humidity pack when traveling with it but if I'm just going for a day or two, I don't even bother with putting one in. I attached an inexpensive cutter and a bottle opener with a piece of paracord so they stay right with the humidor.

A nice wood unit is great for home, but I like the plastic travel humidors if I bother. When I play with my cigar habit, I prefer the humidor at the shop where I can smoke with frequently interesting other patrons in the lounge.

One of my BIL's had THIS one. It worked well for him.
