You can always turn off 5G in the settings so it uses 4G only and get another 10-20% battery life, especially if you're in an area without weak or no 5G signal!

I actually like the facial recognition better than the fingerprint.

Mine was set up pre-mask, so of course it does not work while wearing a mask, but when I have time I'm going to try an experiment: I'll try to set up facial recognition with a mask on, see if that works. A single phone can be set to recognize more than one face, so I won't have to delete the "real" one in order to try to add another with a mask.

We did the paperwork today at T-Mobile for an iPhone 12 for my wife and a 12 Mini for me. They didn't have the color we wanted in stock but we should have them by the end of the week.

They are doing a BOGO of sorts. If you finance one (interest free) they make monthly payments on the second phone until it paid off after 24 months. No contracts or termination fees are involved so worst case scenario is that you'd have to pay the balance if you canceled early at which point the phones would be unlocked.

It took me a while to figure this out, but now when I go to pay with Apple Pay, I simply unhook my mask from one ear long enough to get the ding, then remask.

Also have a 12 Pro. Would have to try to run the battery out, and my usage is basically what yours is.

Is my first iPhone and I appreciate the form factor and other features, though I don't even use most of its capability.
