tleddy2014 Ford Escape Titanium Small SUV with 33,000 miles. It has been very reliable for us - new tires and regular oil changes based on time, not miles.
We like it… it fits our retired life-style just right!

hudrI have a 2003 Buick Century for a lot of daily stuff. Old grandma car. 49k on it when I got it in Feb of ‘22. Probably only ever been to the grocery store, the hair salon, and the Baptist church its whole life. Now it hauls me to work on days too nasty for the bike. And I can get four sacks of feed in the trunk in a pinch.
Got a 2012 F250 XL I bought new. I don’t care for a fancy truck, but I prefer a new one. It has almost 100k in it now. Mainly used for ranch stuff.
Bought a 2023 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT in March of ‘23. I ride it whenever possible. The factory luggage has enough room for a light grocery run.
All of these are paid for. Like a good farmer/rancher my main debt is my tractor.

ShouldBFishinMy DD is a 2012 V6 Camry with a little over 150K on it. Bought that new in 2013 when diesel was pushing $5/gal. Topping off the pickup once a week was 125-150 each time. I ran the numbers for what I was using for fuel for the pickup and figured I could make the payments from what I was saving at the pump.
Still have the 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel (~160K on it) and picked up a 91 Miata (~60K on it) for fun

I sometimes think about getting a new(er) vehicle, but it just doesn't make sense when there's nothing wrong with what I've got.

What you have is top of the food chain, anything new would be a downgrade.
You could get more bling or HP but would lose the reliability

wrightd14 years old and 22 years old. I won't take the 22 year old vehicle out of town, but I will the 14 year old one. I have another that's 24 yo, and I wont' take that one out of town either. But all three are running good, I do all the work myself with the occasional exception. If I didn't like working on old cars this would NOT be the situation, as others have noted that after a certain age it's not viable paying auto mechanics to keep them up. So my example is not realistic for most drivers.

egregoreI might also mention that despite never having been under a roof, let alone in a garage, my car's interior (dashboard, headliner) is still pristine. Also no squeaks, rattles or rust, despite use of salt in the winter. (I try to wash it ASAP after a snowstorm.) The engine is still smooth (it does have a cam sprocket rattle sporadically on a cold start), and has gone from zero detectable oil consumption to a quart in 5000 miles (also my oil service interval), which I consider acceptable.

dkjbama29 years old. 1995 Buick Park Avenue. 53,600 miles. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Dead nuts reliable Buick 3800 Series II powertrain, cheap to fix and insure. Rides like a couch on wheels and 30mpg highway. It did damn well in the snow this past week as well.

2015 Nissan Altima 32k for eating out, pleasure trips, needing excellent fuel mileage. 38 mpg mixed driving.
2007 Corvette 13k toy. No salt and try not to get rained on.
2013 GMC Sierra 44k only when we need a truck for something.
