reloader-1Words again… I think Iran needs to be the one announcing a deal at this point, Trump has canceled strikes multiple times based on the mythical deal that magically never transpires.
June 11, 2026, 05:25 PM
6guns^^^ He has and I'm not saying you're wrong, but the last strikes were pretty damaging. That may have been the final damage where Iran realized they better deal. At least that's what I hope.

stickman428The whole time these negotiations transpired intelligence was gathered on the Iranian networks. There is a hell of a lot happening behind the scenes that you and I are not privy to. I trust Trump and I’m optimistic that eventually his patience is going to run out. I’m not sure if we are there just yet but it will be obvious when that happens.

lastmanstandingIf you are going to fuck around with Iran, Iraq or Hamas or the Taliban or any of these lunatics you better be prepared to do what's necessary to end them. That is the only way to eliminate this scourge from the planet. They have proven time and time again they will never give up their endeavor to kill the great Satan, destroy Israel and dominate the world any way they can. They are friends with no one and everyone that is not them is their enemy.
Israel has been proven more than capable in preventing them from developing a working bomb. Let them continue to do so with our assistance. Last I heard we were supposedly independent from foreign oil, we don't need oil from the Middle East. What happened to that? This entire thing has been steady by jerks and it's the way it always works with these lunatics. Delay, obfuscate, promise, sign agreements and then continue on the same path.

wrightdI think Trump is working a "deal" involving the surrounding countries to coalesce some type of new and lasting support for containing the savages going forward. I suspect however they're too chickenshit to commit to said change of course because their collective cultures seem to be too much anti-west in general more or less across the board to pull it off. But we must give Trump credit for trying, since he is coming at it from the point of a bonafide businessman, as opposed to all the lawyers on capital hill.

parabellumPresident Trump is not naive. There is a balance which needs to be struck. He has demonstrated a true desire to bring the Iranians around. He knows the people in the Iranian regime are rattlesnakes, but continuing to pound them will make any future efforts to bring them to heel impossible. They know that Donald Trump is president until early 2029 and he can always whip their ass some more.
If this diplomatic effort is successful, the market will go up, gas prices will fall and inflation will cool, all in the leadup to the midterms.
You want to curb-stomp these psychopaths. Well, so do I. The only true long term solution is to bring about the fall of the Iranian regime. Even after the tremendous pounding we've given these crazies, that hasn't happened. They're like cockroaches. So, President Trump is taking it all into account and this is where we are
for now.
I'm willing to wait and see how this all unfolds. In the meantime, the criticism will continue unabated, no matter what decision the man makes.

President Trump says that the naval blockade of Iran will remain in place until the deal has been signed.
How about until they've actually done the things that the paper they're signing requires them to do? Because that's the only way they might actually honor the terms of the deal.

abnmacvIran hates the US and will damage the country at every opportunity. They've killed Americans, cheated at the nuclear path to the bomb. An impossible islamist dictatorship to trust at any level. Israel is what's damaging Iran, US is way to trusting. President Trump needs new advisors who know the history of the Iranian who are best described as both crazy and evil.

downeastnc1It would be helpful if the people of Iran could raise up against those in power, but we know what the last street slaughter was like for them. It's like the lady above postulates..you cannot reason with the unreasonable.

parabellumWhen I started this thread in January, it was originally about civil unrest in Iran, but now we see, half a year on, that these protests/riots have proved ineffective, even after the IRGC has had its shit stomped by the United States.
As I said, the current Iranian regime is like cockroaches, able to survive the harshest conditions.
So, what good would it be to bomb them further right now, if a diplomatic solution is still within our grasp? And I'll say it again- President Trump is not naive. He knows the Iranian regime has never in half a century adhered to any agreement long term. But, if certain concessions will be made now by the Iranians, something good may yet come out of extracting promises from this most deceitful of all the world's governments, while at the same time bolstering the US economy in the face of the midterms, now only a little more than four months away.

trapper189Deal or no deal, today is another day Iran does not have a nuclear weapon, there no American boots on the ground in Iran, no American service members and their families have made the sacrifice. Winning.

parabellum https://x.com/JDVance/status/2065449280773541949"I'm seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal to reopen the Strait and end Iran's nuclear weapons program. First, the Iranians are not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting. The deal is structured to ensure that the US and its allies concerns are prioritized, and that if the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region. This deal has the potential to remake the region and lead to lasting peace.
I've noticed a couple of bizarre things in the reporting over the last few hours. First, people who (rightly) said Donald Trump was a historic president a month ago now criticizing a deal based on unconfirmed media reports. Second, people who say you can't trust a word said by the IRGC who apparently believe anonymously sourced social media posts.
The president is going to get us a good outcome, one way or the other."June 12, 2026, 12:41 PM

I literally meant today and each day going forward. It breaks my heart to think of the families that have made that sacrifice. I’m strongly encouraging my sons to sign up and hope they do.
My brother, dad, and uncle served. I had a great uncle that spent 45 years in an asylum after serving in WWI. I did not serve, neither have my 15 and 19 year old sons as of yet, so I’ll defer to and trust the President to make those calls. In the meantime, I’ll ignore all the bullshit on the internet and media except for being thankful each day Iran does not have the bomb and those serving have survived another day.
