Book tickets far in advance and the time waiting in-lines will be dramatically reduced. Many more Chinese and East Indians are traveling now with their emergent middle-class, and with air travel being much more accessible, there's just a lot more people traveling. The result is popular places like Rome, Venice, Amsterdam, Paris, Santorini, Dubrovnik, Barcelona, etc...being incredibly crowded and a sense of being over-run.
