eyrichI have a remarkable 2 that I love.
Steve Gibson (Security Now) reported that he upgraded to a Pro and then went back to the Remarkable 2. I believe he said the color refresh was annoying and its heavy.

BaranAt my previous job, I had a Remarkable 2. Loved it, the only issue is there security could be better.
The feel of it is fax better that a surface pro or a iPad and pencil. Great device for notes.

fortworthsigIn my opinion the remarkable 2 is made to do one single thing and that is to write on. It does that very well. You aren't going to get apps, internet browsing, or any of the other things that an Ipad does on the remarkable. There is a remarkable app on the ipad that syncs your pages across the devices which can be very helpful.
I used to always carry around a legal pad along with my laptop. The remarkable has replaced my legal pad but not my ipad or laptop. It keeps all of my handwritten notes in one place instead of various pads on my desk, in my briefcase, or at home.

MrToadI use a reMarkable 2 (not Pro) at work as do several of my coworkers. It's great for taking lots of notes, and can sync with the free reMarkable desktop app. You can buy the Connect subscription that
quote:
...gives you access to unlimited cloud storage and sync, lets you write, create, and edit in our mobile and desktop apps, and gives up to three years’ added device protection with the reMarkable Protection Plan.
However, for a similar price you could I believe get an iPad with a pencil, with a lot more functionality (for me it would be OneNote utilization). Since work paid for my reMarkable 2, I'm not fussing too much.
