My kid became gun savvy at a very young age. I kept a lock box for my EDC and everything else went into the gun safe. And I was not just concerned for safety of the kid, but for the safety of any of his friends who might be hanging around.
I now live alone so no more kids. I still use the lock box / safe practice to guard against burglary. Since I live in a large apartment complex I cant help but wonder who has keys to my place.
