Just like the 2024 Trump/Vance - Harris/Walz contest, when dedicated, determined voters put the proverbial pen to the paper, you CAN get some positive changes!
I asked Amanda to please stop back in here at the SIG Forum, and give SIG Forum Members a post election report on how the "reformers" fared in the April 2025 NRA BOD Election.

Many of us old timers have been voting NRA Members for a long time. Even before the WLP debacle. At one time, the NRA was the 900 pound gorilla in the room.
They were the only gun rights advocacy group fighting for us. Hopefully, the NRA can now get back on "track" and return to the previous mission. Advocacy for NRA Members.

In today's world, we now also have several other gun rights organizations, the Second Amendment Foundation and Gun Owners of America.
I completely understand why people walked away from supporting the NRA, and I won't hold it against you. If this is you, just pick a different group and support them instead.
There are also many outstanding "State" level gun rights organizations. If you aren't supporting them, please start.
However, it certainly cannot hurt to have an additional advocacy group returning to the prior mission and fighting for us at the Federal and State levels.

SAF, GOA, NRA, these gun rights advocacy groups matter!

Amanda, Thank You for reporting back with the April 2025 NRA BOD election results update.

It seems like incremental improvement is on the way.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I would like to see a list of any WLP cronies that are still on the board. They’ll not see a nickel from me until every single one of them are off the board. All of them! In my mind they were all complicit in raping their supporters. There’s not many slimy pricks that I’d rather punch in the mouth than Wayne.

Does that mean another ballot will be mailed, or is this seat just appointed?

If it's a ballot I trust there will be an endorsement for one over the other Wink

They get appointed based on the election results. The first runner up ( or closest loser) will roll up to fill the slot.

Turns out I know Willes Lee ( not be confused with Willis “Ching” Lee the great battleship admiral). He was chair of the Hawaii GOP Cruz delegation to the 2016 GOP convention when I was an alternate.
Glad to hear he’s made it and is one of the “good guys”.

Yes, what have they done so far? I have heard nothing. They were supposed to turn things around but it seems awful quiet.

If you are interested in who you might vote for in the current election, Ammoland has an article. Link

"I believe there will once again be a big NRA 2.0 ad enveloping the ballot package, and I’m sure those candidates have been thoroughly vetted. Since almost everyone on the ballot will be elected, I’d encourage voters to only vote for those they really want to see on the Board. Bullet voting will help to ensure your favorites win. Also, with so many seats available, it will be particularly easy to overvote, making your entire ballot invalid. Voting for fewer than allowed is no problem, but if you vote for one too many, all of your votes will be tossed out, so err on the side of caution. Also, remember that any write-in vote counts toward your total. Don’t go over the limit!

In spite of the struggles and complications, the NRA is on a good and productive path. There are additional hurdles in front of us, but I’m confident we can overcome them with your help. The recovery is slow and painful, but it is a recovery. Things are getting better. I’m hopeful we can get this conflict with the NRA Foundation Board of Trustees behind us in fairly short order. Once that’s fixed, I think we’ll see the recovery accelerating pretty quickly." ---Jeff Knox
