Autumn 2020 begins today. I always get the blues at the ending of Summer. Seemed so short this year. I know some dont like the heat of the season but some do. Sunny Autumn days used to have me at the outdoor range. All the changes in nature and the warmth made for relaxed hours of shooting and chatting with others on the firing lines. Some of the most rekaxed walks I've ever taken were lazy slow up to hang new targets. No hurry what so ever. Hope you all have a colorful, safe and, mellow Autumn. Get some time at your outdoor range while the season is here.

Finally!

I hate summer, and all the associated heat, bugs, sweating, mowing, sunburns, electrical bills, and other stuff.

Fall is my jam. Cool breezes, light jackets, campfires, apple cider, open windows, and Oktoberfest beer.

I hate summer,

I see this sentiment here frequently and while some may not like summer it is the engine that makes life possible. Summer is when we rebuild our stores and recharge the earth. It gets us through the dead but restful winter.

I like fall, especially for outdoor stuff like fishing. Spring is wonderful but about 6 weeks of winter would do me plenty.

Happy Autumn everyone!

Love fall. Welcome.

Cool air, good smells, octoberfest beer, halloween, my birthday, etc.

Air is cool today. Morning coffee never tasted so good.

Little or no need for heating or AC for several weeks, bratwursts, Oktoberfest beer, birthdays, carnivals (pre-COVID days Frown ) and fairs, trips to apple orchards and wineries, pumpkins, Halloween, hunting seasons, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, first days of Advent and ramping up for Christmas and New Year's Eve...

About time!

Where's the mountain of beer in a garage thread??

We had a little ol' lady today exclaim that for 2020 we should forego the bullshit of setting back our clocks, because she doesn't want another single hour added on to 2020.

Seriously...just one more hour for things to go Charlie Foxtrot.

But I too love Fall, the weather here has been amazing.

And like previous posters I love all the trappings of Fall that were mentioned.

Football used to be one of those things...still have College ball but I gave up on the NFL

Headed to the mountains for a long weekend soon. Hope the trees have started to turn!!

Mid 80’s with little humidity the perfect temp. Love the beginning of fall. Range trips and motorcycle rides just seem better and easier. The only real complaint is being in the midwest is bean and corn combining. The dust plays hell w/ my sinuses and eyes. Oh, and what comes next for weather....

Here in NW Montana, we seem to go from summer to early winter overnight. I’d enjoy fall if we had daytime temps in the 70’s. We hit 55° today. Early winter.

Thank you for the Autumn welcome.

That said, I'm a summer person. Feel better being outside later in the evenings, staying active.

Detest jackets, gloves, cold cars, and the added chores keeping things going and tending to my dogs during the winter.

I am better motivated during the summer.

Its all good folks. Autumn leading into Thanksgiving when I so look forward to tender slices of turkey white meat. Sometime there after Winter comes and we freeze our asses off for 3 or 4 months. All the Seasons are good. Thank you for the replies.

Amen.

I enjoy the turn. The air gets crisper in the evening. It just smells clean.
The comfort of a sweatshirt and good socks while outside.
Maybe indulge in some foods that we normally avoid during the summer because winter is coming.

It was a perfect first day of fall in Orlando. The temps were down to about 85, the humidity was lower, and I was able to wear pants (not shorts) out to dinner with my lady.
