Reverse seared ribeye
BOOM! https://imgur.com/gallery/GOiAFk9

Decided I wanted a BIG steak tonight so I went shopping and bought a 24oz ribeye.
Set the convection oven to 275° and let the steak warm to 125. Got a good sear on it with a cast iron skillet for 2 minutes a side and then let it rest on a cutting board.
Happy man and damn near full. Don't know if I'll be able to eat all of the food.

That looks awesome!

I just tried reverse-searing using an Instant Pot, and it came out fantastic. Sort of a poor man's sous vide.

I ate it all. Frown
Sitting in the recliner now regretting that I did.
Steak was excellent and before I knew it, I ate the steak, 3 pieces of pita bread and a bowl of carrots. Add in 4 beers and I'm kinda full.

I need to know how to do this. I have an Instapot and haven't gotten much out of it yet. Only thing I've done is stuffed peppers

Looks good! How did you season the carrots? Just salt and pepper?

I'm still experimenting with the whole process, but basically followed this recipe.

Basically I just cooked the meat in the Instant Pot per directions, then transferred it to a grid pan and seared it on the stove-top.

Looks good.

I also reverse seared a ribeye tonight but I exercised more restraint and only had 1.05 lbs. Big Grin

Yeah but I bet you ruined a second ribeye at the same time...

SMH. You guessed correct. 1.07 lb ribeye cut in 3 parts and reverse seared until medium well. I had a bite and it was still juicy but nowhere near as good as mine.

Looks like a fine meal to me.

I haven’t cooked a steak in months... need to rectify that.

Pepper only. I'm not a big salt fan.
Steak was seasoned with Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning. Really good seasoning.
