This, except with a splash of Crystal Hot Sauce over the horseradish and saltine...

Ryanp225I use it to make a sauce for beef.
Sour cream
Prepared horseradish
lots of dill
finely chopped red onion
lemon juice
Pepper Palace has a super hot horseradish sauce called "Nasal Napalm". It's awesome!

muzzleloaderLove horseradish, but I honestly thought the name came from it’s resemblance to a horse penis. Thanks for clearing that up!

AUTiger89Or mix raw horseradish with some ranch dressing and slather it on a Philly. YUM!
I really don't like most spicy flavors EXCEPT horseradish. I absolutely love it. Blue Diamond Wasabi and Soy Sauce Almonds, which is really horseradish, are my crack cocaine.

Flash-LBJust opened a fresh bottle of Beaver Extra Hot Horseradish. Normally it's hot but every once in a while, maybe once a year or so, I get one that's kinda like molten lava.
That's what this fresh bottle is. Used it liberally on some prime rib yesterday and loved every bite.

wreckdiverWife has a craft show she does every fall that I help with in Letchworth State Park. There is a great guy by the name of Whallon's that has the best horseradish I have ever had, I buy enough for the year! Horseradish infused green olives, dips, and of course the horseradish. Keeps the sinuses good and clear!!!
Edit to add: The Letchworth venue was a no go this year, it was moved to the town of Perry Park. I didn't see him there and I'm almost out, so I went online and ordered some!!!!

I am assuming you mean cheesesteak?
Because in and around Philadelphia you will never hear that term.
That’s like calling a Po’Boy a “NOLA”, it just sounds funny to us.
And don’t EVER get caught putting horseradish on a cheesesteak in Philly…it would not end well

4MUL8RThanks for the history. I will think of it tonight at our Bible Study dinner at Arby's as I dollop the Horsey Sauce on my sandwich.
