BigSwedeAlabama and South Carolina are the ones I deal with a lot
In SC the property tax on your home is also tied to your car.
We had a fella come buy a Vette, he had us put in writing that we would pay the property tax on his new Vette. Well, when we went to pay it his home property tax was due and you can't pay the car property tax without the home being done first DOH! Car buyers are shady fuckers too
GA switched from a sales tax on new cars and a yearly tag fee based on value to a Title and Ad Valorem Tax. Before tax was not collected on private sale, now TAVT is collected on any new registration. So a car could pay the TAVT several times depending on how many owners

ridewvIn WV if you sell minerals from your property (natural gas, coal, etc) they charge property tax on the value of those minerals, then you get to pay state and federal income tax on the proceeds. Like most states you get a break on one tax then they get you on another.
