Any stories about what may go wrong? From personal experiences? This has got me terrified, I'm good with cataract surgery but what's your story?

I can't help you personally, but I do understand your fear.

Years back I was recommended for corneal transplant due to keratoconus from my contacts that had absorbed chemicals I worked with in a print shop.

I was petrified of the thought of it, and we went over a year in different lenses to reshape my cornea and then I had to go contact free for quite a few years, but I was able to get my eyes back in shape.

Now, my grandmother had a cornea transplanted after she had a failed cataract surgery, she said the worst part was not being able to sit up until the next day. Other than that, she had no complaints.

I still shudder at the thought of it though. I wish you the best with your situation.

You have northing to worry about. The first two weeks of recovery were the most challenging.

I can tell you a funny story when they could not sedate me for one of them.

Not sure that this is of any help as I have no personal experience, however, a former neighbor of mine, an excellent rifle shooter, had both eyes done. His surgeon video taped the surgery which we watched.

It went very well and he was quite glad that he had it done.
