This might ease your mind a little. As some here know, I'm not religious, but nevertheless, this was posted on another gun forum and it seemed to me to be good thing to re-post here, since many of you are religious, and cherish your four-legged friends, too. “I wish someone had given Jesus a dog” I wish someone had given Jesus a dog. As loyal and loving as mine. To sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes And adore Him for being divine. As our Lord grew to manhood His faithful dog, Would have followed Him all through the day. While He preached to the crowds and made the sick well And knelt in the garden to pray. It is sad to remember that Christ went away. To face death alone and apart. With no tender dog following close behind, To comfort its Master’s Heart. And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn, How happy He would have been, As His dog kissed His hand and barked it’s delight, For The One who died for all men. Well, the Lord has a dog now, I just sent Him mine, The old pal so dear to me. And I smile through my tears on this first day alone, Knowing they’re in eternity. Day after day, the whole day through, Wherever my road inclined, Four feet said, “Wait, I’m coming with you!” And trotted along behind. Rudyard Kipling

Huh. Sudden increase in humidity here, fogged up my glasses. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Sorry for your loss. My girl is over 16YO and showing it. Her day is coming soon. The pain gradually subsides but the great memories remain. When a thing is funny, search it carefully for a hidden truth. - George Bernard Shaw

I have this hanging on the wall in my bedroom. I can't remember when I got it or who I got it from, but I hang it every time I have moved. I am fortunate to not have lost a friend yet but I dread the day my little buddy/roommate goes. He is a cat, but....

I lost one of my outdoor cats just a month ago. She was the mother of 4 of my indoor cats, of which 3 are still with me. She was found just outside my back door one morning. She has been buried in my back yard. Her son, Rusty, was one of her first litter and he died in 2014. I have his cremated remains in a nice vase in a curio cabinet. Little Mother was not a pet--just a reliable denizen of my back yard. She had several litters in my back yard before I got her fixed. I miss her coming to feed each day. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth
