Edge seeking Sharp blade! |
Three choices at Costco: Defender LTX, Agilis CrossClimate, X LT A/S. Off road or extreme winter not a concern. Thanks

Defender LTX will be going on my Expedition when it's time. Thousands of miles of experience on my dad's trucks, with minimal complaints. His were almost all E range 10-ply. The Enemy's gate is down.

You can order many other tires from costco. I would look at the Firestone model. I cannot recall its name at the moment. I do not like any that you listed. Good luck. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

This is my brother's truck, he used to have a smaller Ford SUV, I think an Explorer, that had a Firestone recall. He got Michelins in the recall and they lasted 150K miles. He's going with Michelin.

It appears the Agilis is a commercial tire, and don't think it is needed. So probably down to Defender LTX and X LT.

About 14 months since I had Michelin Defender LTX installed on my 2018 Nissan Titan (full-size V8 4X4 truck P265-70-18), probably 10K miles. Very happy with the ride and handling, no problems at all. Local shop rotates at 4000 miles, rebalances every time. As is my usual practice, ran the truck through the alignment shop when the new tires were installed. All of my driving is city and highway, southern Colorado (near desert climate, occasional ugly snow storms). Pleasant surprise when I went to Discount Tire. Caught a sale on Michelin tires at $70 off each tire, and they also give a 10% veteran discount. $1300-plus worth of Michelins for $930 OTD! Factory tires were Toyo, changed at 47000 miles. I'm expecting 60-plus with the Michelins. Retired holster maker. Retired police chief. Formerly Sergeant, US Army Airborne Infantry, Pathfinders

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
I've always run Michelins on my Explorer but last time I bought Continental Cross Contact LX25's They are just as quiet, smooth, seem to have the same qualities and were significantly less since they also had a rebate at the time. I've had them about a year now and happy. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

We have Toyo on our Exped Max. Only a couple thousand into our ownership (and 35k total mileage on the truck, not sure if these were OE) & no complaints, but haven't had them in hard rain. The Enemy's gate is down.

Defenders! They are without a doubt the best highway Truck/SUV tire on the market. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

I’m on the second set of X LT A/S on my F150. I’ve been a Michelin guy a long time, it would take something extraordinary to get me to change brands. _______________________________________________________ despite them

I've been pretty happy with the Michelin Defender LTXs. They seem to wear well - most of my driving is on the highway. ...let him who has no sword sell his robe and buy one. I had the Defenders put on my Armada a little over a year ago. I've been very happy with them. Costco put Michelin's on sale like $150 off a set every few months. I figured out when they were scheduled to go on sale, ordered some in online for delivery and installed about 2-3 weeks before the sale. Then when they went on sale I used the 30 day price guarantee and got the discount. Bonus was I didn't have to worry about them being in stock during the sale. I was out the door for about $800 which was $200 cheaper than I could find for Big A store brand.
