Don't need and but always looking and pricing . Wal mart has them,on the bottom of the can is a sticker [MADE IN CHINA] the real ones can be gotten by web search and delivery. A few years back I found a guy in M N with the REAL ONES [name SLIPS ME]I bought fifty for around five bucks each on that quantity. They all were dirty, and some had some sand inside

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have a few options now. I've been looking for an excuse to stop at the new Rural King in Hartland. Guess I got one now.

The last time I bought any, it was 8 full years ago. We went to National Gun Day on the Sunday. Got there kind of early (like before the show opened)and found a guy in the back who still had most of his pallet full, intact. His $12 price quickly dropped to half of that. Better still my oldest son was along. He traded his drivers license to the vendor for the use of his push cart. All I had to do was pay up, then as my son was hauling the first load to the van, I was getting the second load ready. Its how I got a basement wall covered 6 high. Still half empty, and I don't care.

Originally posted by synthplayer: Costco. For $18.99 you get both a brand new .50 and a .30. I can't tell any difference between them and the mil-surps I used to buy - except that they're brand new and unmarked.
Picked up four pairs for $14.99 $18.99 each after work tonight
EDIT: just saw my receipt. I misremembered and paid the same price as synthplayer. This message has been edited. Last edited by: tatortodd,

Just checked my Walmart cans against the other cans I have. The Walmart cans stack atop what I believe to be The Real Deal, and the "real" cans stack atop some of the Walmart cans properly. But the real can I tested wobbles a bit atop the latest Walmart can.
How anybody can screw up something this trivially easy is beyond me.
