Die hard 9er fan here, but I have to say, TB is THE MAN! I found joy watching him and really enjoyed him bringing Tampa to the SB. Montana is still my guy, but Brady is a very close second in my book.

Terrific Tom has 7 rings. Should've had 9. Could've had 10. When you really think about that, it's absolutely astonishing the career this man has had; the kind of career that might never be duplicated. I quit watching the NFL a few years ago, but mad respect to the GOAT.

What did he do in Tampa that totally changed your view of him. Seems like he did what he has always done unless I missed something.

Should have lost to the Eagles twice if they didn't steal the defensive signals in 04, Falcons if they didn't lose their mind and stop running, and Seattle if they didn't choke and not run from the one with a guy who was all but certain to score.

It’s crazy how one or two plays really make the difference. If ATL and Seattle run the ball instead of trying to pass just one time, Brady might have two fewer rings. Hell if a single KC player doesn’t line up offsides in the AFC championship game he loses a third ring. But if Eli gets sacked or what’s his name doesn’t pin that ball to his helmet, Brady has one more. Going even deeper if that absolutely obvious PI call gets called on the Rams against NO, NO goes to the SB and probably beat the Pats. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

Don't forget about spygate in 2008 when the Patriots were filming the Rams walk thru's on the day before the superbowl.

Been a die hard 49ers fan since my father took me to a couple of games in the late 1950's. Of all the very good quarterbacks that have played the game, Joe Montana is and always will be my favorite and Tom Brady comes in a close second. I thought he said he was going to play till he was 50? --------------- Gary Will Fly for Food... and more Ammo Mosquito Lubrication Video If Guns Cause Crime, Mine Are Defective.... Ted Nugent

Don’t take what I said as anything other than what I said. I’m not trying to hype Brady up or tear him down. I don’t love him or hate him. I’m a football fan, not a team fan or a player fan or a league fan. I truly like the sport. I have as much fun watching pee wee football as I do watching high school, college and NFL. I’m simply pointing out that legacies can get built, and destroyed, on a handful of plays. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

What TB did in Tampa Bay proved to me that the accomplishments in Boston were truly his. I admire excellence, but in Boston, I linked excellence to the coach AND the QB. Seeing TB in TB, I realized that he is both a skilled QB and a transcendent leader. I'm sure I overlooked this while he was in Boston, with my general disdain for that franchise. ------- Trying to simplify my life...

Wait, what? |
I hate the NFL but marginally followed Brady in his accomplishments last season when he took TB to the super bowl (I refuse to let autocorrect capitalize this). Imagine being 44 and playing a full contact sport with twenty-something’s in their physical prime…and dominating. I hope he enjoys retirement- he’s a class act. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Not a Brady fan for the simple fact of where he went to college but, he is probably the best QB ever to play the game. I think he still has a year or 2 left in him personally. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

He and Peyton always struck me as two of the best ambassadors of the sport. My personal thoughts on the league aside this is the end of an era and the bar has been set pretty damn high for those looking to emulate Brady’s career. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

The Rams played the Patriots in the SB in 2002, not 2008. (lost to them again in 2019) The NFL did not ban the taping/filming of practices until 2006. Prior to that every team in the NFL did it regularly. Spygate was more about discontent between a coach and a former coordinator than anything else. (Bill Belichick and Eric Mangini)

Just could not keep it under his hat until after the season was over. Of course not. Nice work Tom "Practice like you want to play in the game"

They filmed hand signals during games and stole defensive signs. It was very much against the rules, which is why they got hit so hard.
