Permanent Daylight Saving Bill Advances to House Floor
quote:
Trump likes it, and anything that Trump wants MUST be opposed. If anybody else was in the white house, from either party, would all these senators still be opposing the bill? I doubt it.

Except... Tom Cotton usually supports Trump.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

How does one guy out of a hundred get any say about what does or does not get to the Senate? Roll Eyes

Cotton isn't the only one, look back in the thread there are over 13 Senators that don't back it R and D.... He's just the lead speaking out Senator...

This is just one of many I've see suggesting we also change who is in which time zone to accommodate northern states issues with sunrise in the winter.

Okay, okay, hear me out. I propose 2 different time zones, running N/S, both permanent and then four east/west that shift. Then on Leap years, there is a new different zone change using a four sided dice that changes randomly.

This would all be so much easier if we changed time zones to narrower bands and 15 minute intervals.
Or if we want to be more precise, 10 or 5 minute jumps.
Yeah, that's the ticket! Then you don't have to change time seasonally but can get less variance in sunrise/sunset times and less hand-wringing!
