Hillary Clinton, after losing the presidential race to Donald Trump, plans to speak to staff and supporters at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in New York City, according to the campaign.

Trump, Obama 'likely' to meet Thursday at White House

A meeting between President Obama and President-Elect Donald Trump is “likely” to come Thursday, White House press assistant Desiree Barnes told Fox News.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway initially told NBC that Obama called Trump, but it was unclear what they talked about.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in October that Obama would make sure that there would be a smooth transition to the next president, even if it was Trump who became president.

“The President is prepared to honor the will of the American people,” Earnest said.

“Hopefully that’s not going to come about, but I think that’s a reflection of the president’s commitment to this issue, that he’s willing to exercise his own significant authority consistent with the approach he’s hoping that everybody else will take.”

I went to bed last night at 10:15 Central time following this thread and it was the first thing I opened this morning before work and started reading right where I left off hoping to see that Trump had won.

By the time I left for work I wasn't at that point yet and had to check a mainstream website to see the final results.

I will be picking up where I left off in the thread when I get home tonight because the play-by-play going on here was better than any news station could provide. Although it would be fun to see them lose their shit.

I'm filled with gratitude this morning. Grateful to Donald Trump, who is one tough 70 year old son of a bitch! He took on the whole American establishment-- Democrats, Republicans, the "media" and their pundits-- and kicked ass day after day, week after week, month after month. And seemed to relish every minute of the fight!

Grateful to Para that this site, and this epic thread, was the way I could experience this phenomenal event. This was the place to be, through it all.

I hope the thread is preserved in some electronic archive so that Americans a hundred years from now can follow the lines of thinking, the currents of emotion, and know what it was like to live in America through one of the most historic presidential elections ever.
