bland and boring are tolerable, I don't need to be entertained. the real problem is the emptiness he refers to... the vapid, vacuous, bullshit-laden halfassery that is systemic in federal politics/gov., and more so, how it's wrapped in a slick suited, wide smiled, façade, often with minimal substance, questionable ethics, and that smarmy better-than-thou-peasants attitude.

The rally is on CSPAN 2 and a few websites. Cruz gave an outstanding speech. Trump is on now and you could see him tell Cruz good job. They were chatting in the background while Trump was introduced and seemed pretty friendly.
