Remember the period from about April to August of 1974? Everyone was on edge 24/7 and you knew something huge, something unprecedented, was about to happen but didn't know exactly what, when or where. You just knew it was going to be big.
I think we're at a similar point now. It seems there are players in this current game who already know what's coming in the next 10 days and they're all jockeying for the best position they can make for themselves before it hits. Something huge is about to happen. Something unprecedented. You can cut the anticipation with a knife.
Made me recall those days in 1974. We're there again....
I well remember that time period during the Watergate scandal. And I also remember the last week in October and early days of November 1980. Yes, the electricity is in the air indeed.

tatortoddProudly voted Trump - Pence today. Didn't feel the urge to plug my nose either which is a nice change from voting for McCain and Romney.
Pretty sizeable early voting crowd this afternoon, but the line moved right along. No problem with the electronic voting either. Also, there was a good LEO presence in parking lot keeping the campaigning the required distance from the entrance.

Trump is barnstorming, and I mean barnstorming! Amazing the energy he is bringing. Imagine if we had a president that brought this type of energy to the office every day?
We are nowhere near clear of the woods yet, of that I am sure. I enjoyed lifting my news blackout today and seeing the rats scramble. But alas, back into blackout mode I go as I await my turn at the pols. It has been energizing.

It's great Kabuki theater to watch the "progressives" squirm and rant and whine against the same guy they were lining up to blow last summer. But with 9 days to go this might be like trying to crash correct course the Titanic against the iceberg.
But a few thousand votes here, a few hundred thousand there, we might just squeeze through. It's a gift, no matter how late or for whatever reason. I sure hope it's the hanging chad of 2016.

signewtjust caught the last 20 minutes of Trump's speech.
Impressive. Very Impressive.

indigossI just purchased more ammo anticipating Hillary may win. I meet people that have been screwed out of health care but feel offended by Trumps words. So they can't fathom voting for him. I ask them if they would rather be talked to nicely and screwed or have the harsh truth. I then consider Obama was elected twice! That speaks volumes. If most people paid attention to facts or actions, Hillary wouldn't have a chance in hell but that is not the case. I'm hoping the FBI has found something she can't defend. I'm hoping the silent majority will show up and vote for Trump. We will know soon enough.

Thanks for the pic. I had heard there were only about 150 people there and that they had cropped in so tightly to make it look like a large crowd and were using taped applause. This proves it.
By contrast, Trump has spoken to nearly 50K people today.
What a fracking joke. How come she can't fill a community center or high school gym?
I guess I'd be embarrassed and not show up if my candidate was that deplorable.

It's joyous to behold. It's glorious.
Things have been so dire for so long, so precipitous, and the stakes are as high for Americans as they have been since the second World War, that I find myself in the past day and a half elevated almost to a state of grace.
Come what may, this feels almost like divine intervention.

Just occurred to me: Assuming Trump wins and starts cleaning house at the federal level, given the unionization of federal employees will it be possible for him to downsize gubbermint? ...
Federal employees are legally not allowed to unionize.
Don't believe me? Just ask the air traffic controllers Regan fired for going on strike

Unions in general are a thing of the past and will die fairly quickly. Federal employee unions have a very short life left. If Trump wins, I don't see them surviving his term. Candidates like Scott Walker proposed eliminating them and he, and others, have already done so at the state level. It can be done in the federal government.

They just can't strike - they are unionized.
The National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) is a labor union in the United States. It is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, and is the exclusive bargaining representative for air traffic controllers employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
And other federal employees are unionized as well. The majority are covered by a union.
The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is an American labor union representing over 670,000 employees of the federal government, about 5,000 employees of the District of Columbia, and a few hundred private sector employees, mostly in and around federal facilities.

NATCA has some deep pockets. I hear advertisements for them constantly. Not really sure what they do, but I know they exist from their constant commercials.
