Donald Trump is a first-rate ass clown, but...
Any chance that Trump gets on Face the Nation or, any of the other Sunday political shows and gives a contrite apology to McCain or, does he wave it off and continue-on?

If the Donald becomes contrite and cautious he's toast.

"Did I say something nasty about McCain? Has he said a truckload of nasty about me? Politics ain't beanbag. Let's move on."

And keep banging away at the illegal immigrants, the gang bangers, drug dealers and rapists flooding our country-- murdering Americans like the young woman walking with her father in San Francisco.

Don't let the MSM and the Demopublicans deflect your message.

No. Honestly, it didn't bother me at all that he said that McCain isn't a hero. I just shrugged and went "Meh."

But I imagine other POWs and soldiers might take exception to his "likes people who weren't captured" comment. That seems to go beyond just insulting the douchebag Senator whether he meant it or not.

I didn't read everything post on all eight pages so if was mentioned already I apologize. If he got elected. Unlikely, but if, what would happen the first time he and Putin insulted each other?

McCain started the shit when he called Trump supporters "crazies". Don't start none and there won't be none.

msm and establishment rinos are scared to death of the Trump groundswell and are desperate to shut him up. Don't back down DT.

If McCain had come home after the war, went to work and silently raised his family and what not, or been a banner Conservative, a great Senator, and a successful Presidential candidate, he'd still be considered an honorable hero and would still have my respect.

as it stands, however, he is a failure as an honorable Senator, a failure as a Presidential candidate, a failure as a Conservative, and someone who's sympathy/respect capital was all spent years ago. fuck John McCain in almost every conceivable way. he's a piece of shit.

Trump is still Trump, an entertaining and potentially useful fool. who is, sadly, easier to respect and see as President than most every elected member of the GOP - who are largely useless, crooked, and only fractionally better than scurge like Obama, Pelosi, and the like.

they all disgust me beyond belief in almost everything they do, GOP and the Left alike.

Who, Trump? Hell, he'd just laugh it off and get on with the program. I really don't like Trump but he won't suffer from any case of Butthurt.

When a big crowd showed up for Trump in Arizona, McCain called them "crazies." When Cruz defended Trump's remarks about illegals, McCain called Cruz a "whacko bird." So McCain can dump all kinds of shit and it's okay? But Trump has to leave the race?

Fuck John McCain. He has been a curse upon this country.

I don't know Trump personally, but from watching him on TV he seems to get butthurt quickly.

That's what I was thinking. What would he do? Try to intimidate Putin? That would be hilarious.

well at least McCain showed up for the fight. Where was Trump during the Viet Nam war?

Fordham University, and Wharton School of Finance.

Many people who went on to become politicians received deferments.

That is very much to the point. Trump was in college until '68. How he avoided service after that, I can't say.

We can enjoy him giving them hell. But he is going to alienate middle of the road voters. Those are voters the right will need to win national elections. We can't win with just the voters on the right.

Ok...another reason to not respect them.

I noticed that Trump got his degree in 1968....I guess he had more important things to do after he got his degree

The Daily News says he had a series of student deferments until he graduated and was then found physically unacceptable for military service.

I'm no doctor but my guess is they could not find a hat large enough for his big head. Either that or killing the muskrat he has on his head would have offended PETA.

I have no aloha for McCain, but The Donald's remarks were despicable.

This show is really really going to hurt the Republicans with independent voters. I can't help but wonder if it is intentional.

OMG LOL right because the independents would rather have the corrupt Hildabeast, or the self admitted Socialist. Eek

Commie liberal progressives hate the military anyway maybe they will like Trump more now.

I do not understand you all who are taking Trump seriously as a candidate. Hopefully he will continue to at least stir shit up and force out in the open how lame most Republicans are.

Never trusted or liked the guy myself but that doesn't mean I dont like some of the things he has said.

I've been puttering around this morning doing chores, and chuckling to think how lucky the NV were that they shot down McCain and not Trump.

Can you imagine letting The Donald loose on those guys? He would have bribed the guards, converted the Hanoi Hilton to a luxury vacation enclave, signed up the base commander to head up the urban renewal projects ideas he saw as they paraded him through downtown and convinced Ho Chi Minh to finance it. It would be the Singapore of Western Asia now.

McCain went to Annapolis, and is a warrior. Trump went to Wharton, and is an egomaniacal pain in the ass.

It is a hilarious fantasy, though. A guy like Trump wouldn't last long flying an airplane.

More people might just say the hell with it and stay home. And why is Trump getting all the attention in the mainstream media? To paint a picture of Republicans in general,IMO.
