I wouldn't think Comey or Low-Retta are feeling to comfortable about the future right now. Comey is too deep into the "Foundation's" pocket and Low-Retta is an appointee.

TigerDoreKeep in mind that Comey "could" come out in a few days and say that the new investigation is finished and there's nothing there. That could effectively minimize wikileaks enough in the minds of the koolaid crowd that they will turn out and vote for her.

The president may remove a director with adequate cause.
Congress can also remove an FBI director by impeachment. Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution says that any civil officer can be removed if the Senate convicts him of "treason,bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." A two-thirds vote is required for conviction.
In any situation, however, it is much more likely that the president would ask an FBI director to resign rather than fire him.

Balzé HalzéThe FBI director is supposed to be a non-political position which is why it is a ten year term so either party can't directly influence the FBI at every election. "Adequate cause" I would think would have to be significant or else there's the risk of setting an undesirable precedent.
