During Desert Shield, and Desert Storm, one of the key figures in Iraq "winning the war" was Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf. al-Sahhaf was known to many as "Baghdad Bob". Bob was best known for his propaganda on how the Hussain regime was "driving the infidels" out of the country. It was designed as a method of spinning what was actually happening to the regime by coalition forces. Bob was a loyal sort, and kept saying they were massively spilling the blood of infidels, all the while Marine Corps tanks were in the background. when I read someone that reads this or that, watches an interview on CNN, and then they decry that they have a "sinking feeling", I have to wonder if there were Iraqis that "had that sinking feeling" because of the propaganda that Bob was spewing. Because it is the same concept. The media machine is attempting to paint this picture that resistance is futile. And in reading some of the posts, aside from the batshit crazy like Domcintosh or Zenmaster, the media onslaught is working on making people doubt themselves. And apparently, their spin campaign is working on some people. And that is sad to see. If we lose this, we lose this because of propaganda, and not because of substance. They are attempting to make people stay at home because they want you to think that you can't win. If this was truly over, Trump would not be getting 23 3/4 hours per day in the news cycle. My local fish wrap has only missed one day in the last great while posting a negative Trump story above the fold. Anyone that gets a bad feeling from all of this needs to not bow to the media pressure. Ole Bob is still as full of shit today as he was in the 90's. He's just apparently a trend setter and role model for the current crop of corrupt media.
If we lose this, it is because too many people actually believe what they see or read in the big propaganda machine.

Just witnessed two ladies I have known for years, one in her 40s and one in her 50s, and I would most certainly classify them as fairly liberal just completely eviserate 2 liberal females in their early 30s on why voting Trump is the way to go as opposed to Hillary. Never would I have imagined these ladies pushing for Trump the way they were.
This election is unlike any other I would wager to say. I sure hope it knocks this country back on track.
