Wow you must work for him to have all the inside scoop. I didn't know deal makers were such absolute tyrants, thanks for informing me. Dude you don't get it do you. This is the none of the above option and people like that. Could he be a total disaster? F ya! Can he be worse than Hillary or Jeb F NO! ------------------------------ Knowing is half the battle! How? Well, build a fence to protect the border. Are you wanting specifics on the wall construction? How about making Carl Icaan Ambassador to Japan and or China to deal with the trade issues.

Pipe down, Francis. I could be wrong about him, but he's shown me nothing to make me think I'm wrong. I also never said he'd be worse than Hillary or Jeb, so I'm not really sure why you'd even head down that road.

Yeah. When he wants to build a skyscraper in New York, he just marches down to the planning and zoning office and tells them what's up. He doesn't negotiate. He doesn't give and take. He builds his building and they like it. Not to mention the property he buys to build on. It doesn't matter what the seller is asking. It doesn't matter how its zoned. Doesn't even matter what the neighbors think. He states his price and the seller just bends over and takes it. And the companies he hires to do the work? They do the exact work he personally specifies for the price he offers, period. Seriously. Some of you people are delusional. Trump doesn't rule by decree. He negotiates non-stop. I believe he even wrote a book or two about it.

Oh stewardess, I speak jive. |
I have similar curiosities. even if you're right: * if it's that easy why aren't others doing it, saying it, garnering mass support, adapting? * regardless, what's the alternative? more of the same? who do *you* think can actually win?

If Trump fails, he goes back to what he was doing, with little harm done. If almost any other candidate fails, there will be serious political and professional repercussions. It's much more of a risk to alienate the rest of the party. I think almost anyone with a pulse should be able to beat a criminal, a socialist, a governor so bad Maryland replaced him with a republican, or Uncle Joe.

I think they *should* be able to, too. but the last two elections have thrown all such assumptions to the wayside for me. I have no such faith in the public to do what's right. maybe, just maybe, a Trump will resonate enough with enough disaffected voters, and those in the middle and both sides, to actually win. whomever it is must be - to borrow a phrase from the kids these days - charismatic as fuck, to even have a solid chance, IMO. do you honestly believe, especially after the last near-decade, that an electoral college / popular vote majority will be rational/logical? these hurdles are the first one must overcome, before even getting into the content of the platforms and messages themselves. we're pretty well fucked as it is, and has been for several years now. winning the Presidency at all is a very steep uphill battle... Trump *might* be able to help us actually win this, and we need help from someone, and unless/until someone else steps up... he's it.This message has been edited. Last edited by: 46and2,

The one question that the pundits fail to answer or even ask is : Why does Mr. Trump want to be President? Let's see: 1) Fame. That's not it. Most people would recognize him and probably can't name their senators. 2) Money. POTUS makes $400K a year. Pocket change for Trump. 3) Power. He is in many ways far more powerful and yes influential right now than POTUS. Hmmmmm........ Why would he sacrifice some of his fortune to run for this job? Maybe he actually loves our country and is willing to do whatever it takes to make it a least a shade of the nation it once was......

I must disagree. When a professional politician "fails", like not getting re-elected, they get a cushy job with their cronies, like Eric Cantor or Jon Corzine. They have passed laws to help their cronies rake in (often illegally) money, & the cronies have donated money (often millions) to the politician.

Trump also like challenges, and to be secessful. As screwed up as this country and the world is after the wonder putz gets evected from the WH, it will be the ultimate challenge. He got to be where he is at by putting the right people in the right places, something we are sorely n need of now. "Hold my beer.....Watch this".

It isn't just the politicians that need to be purged. As said above, Trump is good at putting people in the places of management. The federal government departments need to be purged of that ruling class as well. And it needs to go from top to bottom. ____________________________________________________ New and improved super concentrated me: Proud rebel, heretic, and Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal. Yes, that is why I discount critics who say he wouldn't get anything done, it's just campaign promises. His personality wouldn't allow him to just play golf and as a master negotiator with a Repub Congress, I bet he could get a heck of a lot accomplished. Certainly more than any of the traditional politicians. This message has been edited. Disagreed on this. There's no power comparable to being the POTUS. It is a power trip for possibly anyone on earth, plus White House is pretty plush then you have Marine One, Air Force One.

Trump certainly doesn't have any transportation problems, and I suspect they are just as plush as anything our government owns.

Thank you Very little |
Right now people jump when he speaks, he makes billions, doesn't answer to anyone and has none of the pressures of the office of POTUS, taking this on means he's willing to take on even more difficult decisions, actions, and deal with the mega egos of the elected class. On the contrary he also picks up significant problems to solve, major world crisis, all kinds of problems he doesn't have to deal with right now, Trump loves a challenge and fixing DC is probably the largest challenge in the world.

Oh stewardess, I speak jive. |
the country, and world for that matter, will be measurably better off if he manages to get elected and this turns out to be even half true. that's how poor of a job most the rest of them are doing. that half-good is an improvement...

Bad dog! |
Amazing that nobody asks why asshats like Graham, Christie, Rubio, et al., are running for POTUS-- what are their real motives?--even though they have done nothing but weaken the country. Or Bush, who thinks he should be POTUS because, well, his name is Bush. Why in Hell is Jeb! running? What is in it for America? Then along comes someone who announces plans that will strengthen and restore the country, and many -- even here-- immediately put on tin foil hats and wonder what he really wants. Secretly, he is in to guarantee a victory for Hillary. Ya, that explains it. Makes a lot of sense.... I have listened to many of his speeches, in part or whole. He loves America, and sees it circling the bowl. With his power and money, and savvy in getting things done, he is stepping up. Hell, even his hair is starting to look good to me. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."
