They feel the control slipping through their fingers, and if Trump wins, it's going to be glorious to watch all the sputtering and attempts at explaining their bullshit.

Complete agreement. I used to think, of course there was a bit of 'spin' to every story, and they were going with the tried & true 'If it bleeds, it leads' mentality, which is nothing new.

But the levels they've gone too in the past few weeks...99% anti-Trump...there's isn't even the slightest hint of impartiality...it is quite simply outrageous. To watch them sit there with that smug look on their face because they report on an unsupported 30 year old accusation while burying congressional hearings going on RIGHT NOW.

As I said earlier, I'm not a social media fan in general, but in this instance, thank goodness, or the we wouldn't even be getting a sliver of the info.

The ability to control, and manipulate information distribution on a national and global scale, along with perhaps banking, is probably the most powerful civilian position people can have.

Hopefully, there's a few more info drops from WikiLeaks, Veritas and others in the new two weeks.

Would someone please post a list of the sponsors on the MSM "news" programs so the rest of us can avoid buying the sponsors products and still not have to watch/listen to their bullshit. Thank you! Smile Regards 18DAI

I agree, did anyone notice that the post debate show was two more hours of the Kelly File, perhaps an attempt to get her more viewers on post debate discussions since her ratings are dropping.

Normally I like to see the post debate banter, good or bad, planted or real. I turned it over to Cavuto on Fox business, better except having to listen to that douche bag Mark Cuban.

Then I went back to velocity, they had a show on rebuilding a 47 Mack Firetruck that was more informative...

Her ratings must have shaken her because she was hammering Donna Brazille last night and wouldn't let up. Brazille was a mumbling idiot who was obviously flustered and off guard. One of the highlights of my night.

Beginning of summer, I still had the habit of eating dinner and watching the news either on DVR or live. My wife and kids all knew this.

Now I cannot bring myself to turn on the national news, catch bits of the local news and won't even think of turning on CNN or Fox. My wife and daughter have both pointed out this change - and on reflection, it is as stated here. The "Media" is dead to me. Even my 15 year old daughter recognizes the bias and inconsistency and we all have learned to seek our own sources to find "truth" and stay current.

My prediction is that rather than rehabilitate, these shows/networks double down and move closer to something that looks like Richard Dawson's "running man" or something like "Ow my balls" from idiocracy. Bread and Circuses...

A long post from an article, but an important one.

http://www.nationalreview.com/...d-us-project-veritas

In 2007, Robert Creamer published Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win, a tactical handbook for the left that he wrote while serving a prison term for tax evasion and bank fraud. Creamer’s advice on how to handle conservatives (pp. 74-6) makes for interesting reading about now:

"In general our strategic goal with people who have become conservative activists is not to convert them—that isn’t going to happen. It is to demoralize them—to ‘deactivate’ them. We need to deflate their enthusiasm, to make them lose their ardor and above all their self-confidence…[A] way to demoralize conservative activists is to surround them with the echo chamber of our positions and assumptions .

We need to make them feel that they are not mainstream, to make them feel isolated… We must isolate them ideologically…[and] use the progressive echo chamber…By defeating them and isolating them ideologically, we demoralize conservative activists directly. Then they begin to quarrel among themselves or blame each other for defeat in isolation, and that demoralizes them further."

Creamer is a longtime Alinskyite activist and a leader in Obama’s old community organizing network. Creamer was a key figure in the work of Chicago’s community organizer training center, the Midwest Academy, to which Obama had close ties.

The Midwest Academy was founded by die-hard socialists who had once been part of the radical 60s SDS (Students for a Democratic Society). An influential figure in Saul Alinsky’s early Chicago operations, Creamer worked with the Midwest Academy’s founders to persuade young socialist revolutionaries in the 70s to adopt a more “pragmatic” Alinskyite stance. In other words, Creamer helped persuade these young revolutionaries to organize, and provide quiet socialist guidance, to movements that were liberal in appearance, yet radical in their ultimate intentions and effects.

While retaining his ties to the Midwest Academy, Creamer rose to become a prominent Democratic strategist and, as numerous reports have indicated, a frequent visitor to the Obama White House. Creamer was an important early advocate of what we now call the healthcare “public option,” an idea that appears to have been at least partially inspired by one of the Midwest Academy’s earlier organizing campaigns.

If the upshot of these new videos holds up to scrutiny, it would show that Saul Alinsky is alive, well and living inside the beating heart of the Democratic Party. Obama inaugurated the era of Alinskyite hardball at the presidential level , and Hillary’s campaign organization would at least appear to be carrying on. If anything, our community organizers have gotten bolder. Nor is the media any more interested in scrutinizing the questionable tactics of the Democrats’ Alinskyite strategists or ground troops than it’s been for the past eight years.

Creamer's reputation is in the toilet after the Project Veritas video.

One thing we Americans generally dislike is any citizen who subverts the election process.

The Donald's first rally since the 3rd and final debate is scheduled to start in just a few minutes in Delaware, OH. Delaware is about 40 miles North of Columbus. His take on last night should be very interesting.

Here's the Megyn Kelly interview with Donna Brazille. All she knew to do was dodge and lie. Typical, and it makes one's blood boil. And they expect Trump to trust the system and these weasels regarding the election results. Roll Eyes

Yahoo news is nothing but anti-Trump stories today. The media isn't even hiding their bias anymore.

The Trump Show is ending. Sad!
Another woman accuses Trump of misconduct
Trump digs deeper hole for GOP in final debate
Trump’s nasty woman’ dis becomes rally cry

Those are the top 4 stories right now...

Only until Election day. Then, if Hillary wins, the left half of the country will quietly celebrate his successes as they find him a new job getting ready for 2020 in some shadowy organization several steps removed from Hillary.

The local news is as poorly done as the national ones.

I fully agree, right down to the local news, as we have the same local news. You would think that there might be a market opportunity here for someone to do straight, legitimate news, but perhaps people are too conditioned to get their daily propaganda fixes or simply have no interest in the "opposition".

My POV. . . .

And Chris Wallace was not 50/50 neutral, rather obvious to me, that he very cunningly managed to steer and direct, deflect and (attempted) to control the outcome of what was said many times over.

Please provide an example; I'd like to see, perhaps, what you saw.

I would have to watch it all again and pick things out, and I cannot endure it again.

sigmonkey,

I won't re-quote your whole post but maybe some of that is why you have such a wonderful sense of humor. Your posts are so often quite entertaining and succinctly insightful.

I asked about the skewing because, although we all know that Wallace is a registered Democrat, he didn't ask any overtly gotcha questions or seem to take sides to me. In fact, I thought Hillary's people would be all over him for talking over her to break her memorized filibusters.

My wife watched the whole debate twice and commented that the second time was a whole different debate. She thought Trump did more than well. I think she was able to step back and see more of the nuances while listening to the content. But, she didn't see any manipulation in Wallace - this time . . . and she says she has the gift of criticism. Wink

I thought you may have had something specific that stuck out to you. I was curious to see it from another point of view.

Thanks for giving me a reply.

I think ratings for all the MSM, Fox included, are sliding. As you said, it will hit them in the wallet. Social media and the internet are leveling the playing field, bit by bit. I get better and faster news reading Sig Forum!

I cannot believe anything they say or publish anymore.

The only things I watch local news for anymore, are weather, sports, and other day to day stuff. I don't pay ANY attention to the political stuff. Its all BS. Especially since I live in Seattle. If I listen to the local political news, it just raises my blood pressure.

I have not watched national news programs for a while now. Too many "Ask your Doctor" commercials. Sheesh.

What I want to know is why, with the evidence before them, law enforcement is not assembling a case to charge the criminals with various crimes, inciting a riot, RICO, etc.

I realize it's Chicago in one case.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown
