With a "typical" politician, she'd have nothing to fear. They would win and what had transpired leading up to the election would fade into history. With Trump? I don't think so. I do think he'll follow through on exactly what he has been saying at rallies and ask his AG to name a special prosecutor. I hope that is exactly how it plays out, for such a spectacle would be very good for our political process. It's far past time the rule of law and ethics won the day. | |||

Isn't his last election the one where a democratic operative happened to find a bunch of ballots marked for Franken in the trunk of his car? And that "bunch" happened to be just enough to win the election? I guess the people of MN just let it happen or is the state government so corrupt that it couldn't be fought?

Frankly, I don't see any scenario in which she goes to jail. If Trump wins Obama will likely pardon her. If Obama doesn't pardon her then Hillary has two and a half months to move her wealth and herself to a country that will not extradite her back here. Nah, that would only be for a DoJ pardon, and then there is a waiting period before it can be granted (5 years?) A sitting President can pardon anyone at anytime. No conviction, or even charges, need to have occurred. The most famous example is Ford's pardon for Nixon. | |||
