I was wrong about Ryan. I had high hopes for him. Many of you were right. He's a jerk, but we need both the House and Senate to stay Republican for Trump to get anything done.

I was really hoping that he would have interrupted the moderators at one point and told them to "shut up...you're a moderator, not a participant"

It's simple; Trump is down over 10 points (NBC/WSJ). All the instant polls are calling Hillary the winner last night.

Even Nate Silver just tweeted "This is the Republican party right now" with a picture of a dumpster fire.

- The Senate will probably flip to the Dems.
- RNC is yanking all their funding for Trump right now, going down ticket.
- Texas (fucking Texas!) is now a question mark and might go blue.

At this point, the House is actually in play. Ryan is doing what he can to salvage every GOP body he possibly can by distancing himself from Trump, because Trump is literally dragging the entire ticket down like the fucking Titanic.

I believe his quote was something along the lines of "I'm trying to make sure Hillary does not have a blank check when she gets here."

This is what GOP primary voters who fell for Trump did. They will blame *everybody* but themselves, and that might have had some weight if this was close, but it isn't... 10 points is a fucking landslide.

Not necessarily true about needing a majority in both the House & Senate to attain your goals. A good negotiator like Trump is, can succeed with his policies by being a leader and good negotiator. He will have to negotiate with who ever controls the House or the Senate regardless. Even Ryan knows Trump will have to come see him to get anything done, the same goes for the other chamber.
