Trump most certainly did not win the nomination by appealing to a "minority" of Republican voters. Jeez.
I was under the impression that he received more primary votes than any Republican in history.
It's amazing how many people have all of the answers, yet don't even have a basic grasp of the facts surrounding the situation.
Facts? Look at the numbers... Trump was getting 30-40% of the votes in the primaries until the end, when he was against Cruz, who proved to be even more unlikable than Trump.
Winning the Republican nomination in the circumstances that prevailed is far different than winning the general election. Yes, at the end of the day I will vote for Trump because the alternative is too horrible to contemplate but I wish he would recognize that what worked in the primary will not work in the general.

Well you're missing some of the numbers. Mainly how many opponents he was facing while getting 30 to 40%. That may have something to do with the situation, right?

I don't believe it's as rocket surgery as some of you smart folks proclaim.
Not who wants him to win. I want him to win, although I don't think he will. (I was wrong in the primaries, though, so I missed his appeal there.)

And yes TRUMP is RIGHT about the ECONOMY. The GDP per person is down to .44 percent which is the lowest in 75 years according to Robert Elliott. There are over 95 million people out of work.

I think he is going to win.
In this PC world, I think a significant amount of the electorate is afraid to voice their support in public for Trump. They are waiting for the curtain to close and them pull the lever for Trump.

I do, and I don't think it will be particularly close.

I've been a Trump supporter from the beginning.
It seems that those who always claim he doesn't stand a chance are the ones who are always proven wrong.

I think he will win - I think the MSM is full of shit and their rigged polls are way off base. Trump can pack a rally to the point the crooked Fire Marshalls are turning people away - and HRC can't fill a room even when using paid agitators. I think the average person knows she is a serial liar and have had enough of the Clinton Crime Family.
Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.

No, in each case, I thought the GOP nominated the wrong candidate, and that Obama would win. I though Romney had a chance after the first term, but though McCain was dead in the water from the start. In the Obama/McCain election, I don't think any Republican could have won.

Given the chance that Hillary might become President, and knowing how vindictive she is, I'd like to make amends to her and post the most flattering and Presidential-looking photo of her that I can find. Go Hillary! Four more years!

I pretty much agree with that. After 8 years of Bush, I knew the Republicans would have an uphill battle to get someone elected in '08. But once I saw Obama, I just knew we didn't have a shot.
In '12 Romney was one of the last Repubs I wanted to see nominated. However, I wasn't too worried as I would have sworn after Obama's first 4 years, there was no way he would be re-elected.
That's what makes me so nervous about this election. I feel the same way about Hillary. There should just be no way she should win. Hell, there should be no way she made it this far, but she has.

He won it by appealing to the *majority* of Republican voters. Now he has to gain the majority of the entire pool of voters.

Zippy using the bully pulpit to hammer Trump. I dont recall hearing nor reading of a sitting President acting such in such a way during an election.
He is a shit stain on our history.
