No it is about the other side. It's about breaking up what the Democrats consider their base. It's about making them understand that they have been lied to and that continued votes along the D party line is suicide.
Anyone who is truly in the middle, and doesn't just say they are, who heard that speech and isn't firmly in the Trump camp is likely a total idiot.
