If Cruz had a pair, he wouldn't have dropped out.

I don't think any of the final five or so non-trump candidates actually dropped out. They merely "suspended their campaign", which apparently would've let them restart it had Trump faltered.

More to the point, though, why is that? He clearly wasn't going to get enough delegates. Why bother spending any more of his supporters' money when the only two plausible paths to him being nominated involved Trump either dying or performing human sacrifices on-stage (and from what I can tell, that last one still might not do it).

Cruz is a bitter asshat. Sure, it was a goods peach, but by not naming Trump thru the speech shows what a sore loser he is.

Man I started this whole thing only liking Trump as cover for Cruz.

I am officially a never Cruz guy now. I will vote libertarian if he is running.

OK back out of this thread before I get myself banned....

This whole process should make one thing crystal clear. Actions speak louder than words.

It's amazing how many politicians, even those on our side, refuse to practice what they preach.

If any of the challengers had any decency they would have endorsed Trump the moment he got to 1237 delegates.

This election isn't about any single Republican candidate. It's about saving our country.

Thank you President Trump.

oh man, Gingrich just blasted Cruz.

He said Donald Trump was most gracious in inviting the other candidates to speak w/o requiring an endorsement.

Then he said let me explain what Cruz meant. Cruz said vote your conscience. Gingrich said that means there is only one person to vote for - Donald Trump.

I was a Cruz guy then joined the Trump band wagon after Teddy dropped out. I could never back Cruz again. A sore losing, worthless dolt, whose pledge means jack shit. F*** Ted and the horse he rode in on. I hope everyone that is still behind him saw that piece of shit, the speech he gave tonight, and then remember his pledge to back the R candidate. It really did expose the man behind the curtain.

I can do without the endorsement or participation of most of the RINO's that sat it out, and as far as I'm concerned Ryan is the enemy and SHOULD have.

Kasich - dumb move. Always thought he was a putz anyway.

But I am deeply disturbed by two things:
Bush 43 not attending. I liked Bush and have spoken highly of him for years, defending him with liberals. He showed a disregard for the country in my opinion, and I will never think of him or defend him again in the same way as before.

Cruz - I voted for him. Thought he had integrity. I was wrong. Screw him.

It's becoming very clear who among so called Republicans care about the country and who only care about their own ass. Very enlightening.

Everyone you named is in the club. They all know the secret handshake. Not only does Trump not want to be in the club, they're afraid he's going to revoke the club's charter.

You guys were right. Cruz chose to be a smug ahole instead of honoring the pact. I'm sure he just lost 90% of his supporters. Newt had a great speech. Well see how Pence does.
