The talking-head experts have been out in force lately. They seem to be so committed to what has not worked before that they fail to see that their premises are wrong this season - even though they see Trump's success. Trump has defied their numbers and studies during the whole primary. Like a dog to vomit they return.
Rove has been been wrong for the last two election cycles. Rove is an establishment idiot.

Fuck him and everything about him.
I saw it differently. Vicente was scared. He was much more polite and seemed to suggest cooperation and negotiation in his tone. I'm thinking the Trump way is already having an effect.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown May 05, 2016, 10:08 AM

That is what is astonishing. All theses years and the Republican establishment still persists with the same line of "experts." Nothing appears to have been learned.
The only way to uproot the influence appears to be someone like Trump. The winning coalition for Republicans follows a broader path than the Bushes.

It's truly amazing that Trump has been successful without following the advice of "experts" like Rove.

+1
Although, right now, I wouldn't advise Trump to take up Fox's offer to go to Mexico to see what folks are really like.

newtoSig765Yes, Fox was more polite this time than last, but not by much. He still comes off like a two-bit arrogant Latin American dictator when he tries to tell Trump (or anybody up here, for that matter) how to act.
I would hope to hell that he's scared of Trump, by the way. One way or the other he will force Mexico to deal with the criminals they have sent our way, and Mexico frankly isn't up to the task. Add back 20 million to their population and it's gonna be hell to pay: "Viva la Revolucion!"

His consulting firm has made millions through both losing cycles. Win or lose, it's a WIN for Rove.

Like a retailer waiting for Christmas to put their company in the black, the pundits and consultants wait to clean up at elections. Huum . . . . The presumptive nominee isn't buying this time.
And, it's also the time when the donors buy the candidates' obeisance by giving them money to buy what they're told has to be spent by the pundits/campaign handlers to win.
What disruption is this Trump guy.

BamaJeepsterTrump was asked if he had a response or a message to Vicente Fox's (non)apology on O'Reilly last night. Fox was going to be a guest later on the show:

Do you think Trump will bow to him?

sdyBill Kristol of Weekly Standard is back on his political suicide mission.
http://hotair.com/archives/201...s-for-3rd-party-run/Bill Kristol, is working with other establishment Republicans in Washington DC to identify a viable, third party candidate for president.
Kristol also revealed he’d be raising the issue tonight with Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) but when I asked if Romney or Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) would be his choice for a third party run he demurred and suggested that a choice such as that would appear to be “sour grapes.”
Earlier this week, Kristol said:
“I mean, I guess never say never. On the one hand, I’ll say #NeverTrump, and on the other hand, I’ll say never say never. I’ll leave it ambiguous.”
******************
Guess it is no longer ambiguous
This won't end well for Kristol and his Weekly Standard

Matt Walsh did another blog today about it as well, so I guess a few days to adjust didn't change things. November is still a while away, so we'll see. Bush probably can't get on the ticket in most states because of sore loser laws.
I'm still not a big fan, but it was kind of fun listening to Rush play clips of him go after her.

If he is TRULY an outsider and doesn't sit at the ol' boys table he is a dead man walking if elected (and perhaps a reason to select an outsider VP).
