It was Cruz who beat Cruz
Painfully true.
He and his strategists gave it away, every bit as much as Trump took anything from him.
He may be a good tactician but his campaign strategy sucks skanky, festering donkey balls.
It's rare to see someone who is otherwise so bright fail so miserably and so publicly.
Ego, blinders, his father, and his faith are what have done him in, in public opinion.
Which is absurd, given his actually relevant credentials and skills.
Priorities, man.
Get some.
Where does he go after this? What will he do? I doubt we can find a better replacement for Scalia, and his chances are weak, now, for that too. I mentioned before that I think he'll be this election's casualty, the fratricide du jour, and it's his own damn fault.
I sincerely hope he exits gracefully at some point, disappears briefly, and reemerges shortly afterward to continue on in some form of meaningful public service.
He won't be President, nor does he deserve to be, be we do still need folks like him, a lot.

parabellumIt's going to be a Trump/Biden matchup anyway.

46and2Looks that way, doesn't it.
Hopefully they're foolish enough to run Warren along with Biden.

Interesting story on CNN this morning in relation to Carrier plant workers.
Their union officially supports Sanders, but Trump is popular with the rank and file.
One quote that stuck out is they hold Hillary accountable for NAFTA which they blame on their jobs going south.

Another interesting sound bite was on the radio this morning. (sorry don't have a link). It was a town hall meeting that apparently took place here in Kentucky with a bunch of coal miners. Hillary was getting grilled on her statements about "putting a bunch of coal companies and miners out of a job". She stated that she "misspoke" and it was "taken out of context". The announcer covering the event stated that overwhelmingly the miners rank and file was uniting behind Trump for an unknown reason.

Apparently, the entire Clinton clan and Bernie are in Kentucky today trying to drum up support in an area that isn't friendly with them. The head of the state DNC was quoted as saying she was ecstatic that the candidates were paying so much attention to Kentucky as it was a sign that they viewed the Commonwealth as being that important. Sure, sister, that is why they are here......

I read something about that this morning. I think it was in West Virginia though as Joe Manchin was there supporting Clinton and the miner told Manchin he lost support because of his support for Clinton.

HRKKY and WV go Red traditionally in national elections, even though they are solid D locally (well KY has a R Governor now that is being harrased daily by the former D Brothers sisters cousins nephews fathers granddad D AG)
Its always interesting polly ticks in KY
I couldn't see why Miners would go for any D after the Clinton/Obama Pact to kill off any pollution (however minor) and kill coal.
Trumps going to have big ass trains and trucks full of coal going out of these regions.

Yes and no. Trump is the one who steered him down the dead end road, like he did to the others.

a1abdjTrump is the high school quarterback. Cruz is the president of the chess club. Both of them have a crush on the same girl, and both asked her to the prom.
She accepted the invitation from the quarterback. Instead of being a man about it, the chess player keeps sending her love notes to explain that he's really the better choice. She ignores them.
When the quarterback shows up at her home to pick her up for the dance, who jumps out of the bushes with a bouquet of flowers in a last ditch effort to win her over?
The would be white knight has actually turned into an ass. Perhaps a desperate, dangerous ass. This will not bode well for his future chances at dating.

Wow, Trump can actually perform
Jedi Mind Tricks
Imagine the possibilities; if he can make Good Guy Cruz into a bad guy, he can make Bad Guy Kim Jong-un into a
good guy !
Imagine, our first Jedi President. Sounds good to me...
