I don't know anything about Pence. But I heard his endorsement, and it sounded like: "I am sort of endorsing Ted Cruz. But I'm kinda endorsing Donald Trump too."

I’m also not going to give him credit for believing that the North would honor their promises. Perhaps, as in Korea, he really had no other option, but his actions weren’t something for Republicans to point to with pride regardless of whether he did it because he foolishly thought the North would do what they promised or because he was forced into it.

I was going back to Nam for a second tour in January of 1971. I was held on Okinawa because Nixon was pulling the Marines out of Viet Nam. I had exactly one year to go till retirement. As far as I am personally concerned, Nixon ended the war in Viet Nam. YMMV

Did you read that long post above that I quoted the statement from in my comment?

One of the problems we have is that far too many people believe such statements. I just read part of an article that tried to tar Trump with the Nazi brush, and I’m sure that sort of thing is just getting started. As I pointed out to the person who sent me the link, though, it’s our current crop of socialists and other leftists who are (and have long been) resorting to true National Socialist (Nazi for the uninitiated) tactics to try to silence their opponents. If we don’t remember history and point out when people on our side distort history, then we have no reason to complain when people on the other side do it.

In an interview, Jake Tapper asked H Clinton if she had learned anything about how to take on Trump.

Her reply:

"I have a lot of experience dealing with men who sometimes get off the reservation in the way they behave and how they speak."
