I will not hold my nose at all. If number one has 49%, number two has 39%, and number three has 12%, well to me the people have spoken there too. And they obviously don't want the guy with 12%. So if the goal is only to beat Hilary, using whomever the GOPe choses, why do we even have primaries? When do the good guys get to win? This time it is "beat Hilary"; next time it will be "beat whomever". There comes a time when you have to put your foot down and say "NO".
There is a huge difference between not winning, and not being allowed to win. I won't participate in the cycle any longer.
The numbers are moot until we get there, but I don't have a warm and fuzzy.

If the GOPe candidate turns out to be Rubio or Romney, the best course might be to vote for that puppet to-- well, try at least-- to keep Hillary out, but then immediately form a new party.
In any case, it will be the death of the Republican Party.

Don't forget that candidates can pledge their delegates to another candidate. A third place Rubio could pledge his delegates to either Trump or Cruz.

You seem confused about what a political party is, and is not, and how one works. This is not a general election.

I just put in season 6 of West Wing to watch the brokered convention and the episode is titled, "Things Fall Apart". I stopped watching...

.... Problem is, Rubio or Romney would lose big to Hillary.

I know it's not a general. And I am not confused about what a party is. I am beholden to NO singular party. Blindly voting a party is asinine in my opinion.
But thanks for your concern...

Trump: GOP Pledge a ‘Two Way Street,’ If It’s Not ‘They’re Going to Have a ‘Big Problem’
Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” while discussing the GOP pledge all the candidates signed to support whomever is the GOP nominee, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump warned that pledge could be a weapon for him if required.
Partial transcript as folllows:
TAPPER: I know you’re big on Twitter. The hashtag — #neverTrump hashtag exploded on Twitter this weekend. These are Republicans saying they will never vote for you. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) himself even used that hashtag. What do you think of that?
TRUMP: Well, he can do whatever he wants. You know, I signed a pledge. And the pledge is a two-way street. And if it’s not that way, you’re going to have a big problem. They’re going to have a big problem with me. We have tremendous amounts of people. We have — as you know, you know, I’m going to Alabama today. We’re going to have 25,000 people and probably more than that.
We had to go to a football stadium because no building held it. And we’re going to have an amazing crowd. And yesterday in Tennessee, I had 15,000 people in a hangar. In Arkansas, you probably saw that one in the morning. In Arkansas, we had about 15,000 people in a hangar.
And, you know, we have a lot of people. I’m representing people. I’m not representing myself. I’m representing a lot of anger out there, and there’s — we’re not angry people, but we’re angry at the way this country’s being run. And a lot of them are angry — angry at the way the Republican Party is being run, Jake.
TAPPER: Yes, I want to ask you about…
TRUMP: And the Republican Party is not being run properly.
TAPPER: I want to ask you about that, because Republicans in Washington, D.C., are starting to tell Republican senators that they don’t have to go to the convention if you’re the nominee, that they should think about running against you if you’re the nominee.
That, combined with Marco Rubio doing the #neverTrump hashtag, do you think Republicans are violating the pledge?
TRUMP: Totally. Totally.
I mean, if they want to play that game, I can play it much better than they can. And I have a lot more people than they do — and, you know, totally. If they’re doing that, that’s a total violation of the pledge, yes.

I personally thought Trump never should have signed that pledge for this very reason. The establishment truely believes they own a one way street.

Until Trump is getting over 50% of the vote, he's not the clear leader.
Agree with Para and Patriot on GOP 'doesn't get it', as it aint about Trump. Also agree with Mbingky and others that GOP is dead when they pick Rubio or other in convention against will of people.
Question is Trump will likely run as third party, will we have a better chance supporting him as a third party candidate to win general election or by supporting a GOP puppet to beat Hillary?

Trump can beat Hillary. But not as a third party candidate. The only hope of beating her is with Trump running against her head-to-head.

Even if Rubio drops out to help Cruz win Trump would run third party.

No it isn't. The GOPe has an incestuous relationship with the Dems in DC, and they no longer (If they ever did) represent the people.

I don't see a single one of them dropping out honestly. Least of all Rubio. His handlers won't let him. He is the only chance the GOPe has to steal the convention and make it look semi-legit. Besides, Mitch and the boys have given him a nibble at the Establishment cock and he is hungry for more.

It is to Trump. He said something similar two days after Scalia died.
