Yes, there's a vast conspiracy behind this. The meaning, though, must be so very complex, because it eludes me entirely.

Sadly, a lot of people truly believe that shit. It's an image from the romantic old bad days of the civil rights movement in the early '60s, before it all got real and stuff. Liberals cling to that image the way that normal, healthy human beings hang on to Concord and Lexington.
And when she insults "mean racist Republicans and Conservatives"? She may actually believe that too. In some corners of this country that's actually taken as a given.

parabellumShe also says that Southerners think they won the Civil War. I find this an odd thing to say and it speaks to her view of the world more than it does about anyone she refers to, but in response to this, I say, yes, we won the Civil War.
In an historical context, the South was as much a victor in the Civil War as was the Union. Ask any Southerner; we are very proud to be Americans. We love the United States of America and its Constitution, so, yes, we won the Civil War.
Again, the ignorance of youth.

a1abdjWait. Isn't the "deep south" mostly Democrats?
February 22, 2016, 07:57 PM
Il CattivoBack in the early 60's, sure. It wasn't until the mid-'70s, with the election of Jimmy Carter, that the northeastern liberal wing of the Democrat party basically broke the power of southeastern old-time Democrats within the party.
ETA: Just checked the politico website, and Romney beat Obama in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia by pretty healthy majorities. Obama barely squeaked by Romney in Florida.

My favorite part was about 3:45 in when she said "these people still think they won the Civil War". I don't believe there is a "vast conspiracy", but I choose to maintain a healthy skepticism for junk like this. Especially in an election year, and especially when the message is so clearly biased.

parabellumYes, because it would be worth the effort, wouldn't it? Such a shocking effect this video has, confirming the prejudices of both camps as it does. That's a powerful message.
Clearly, what we think we see- an upset, angry and disillusioned idealistic young woman- is merely a smoke screen for a sinister message.

Wonderful. You are absolutely correct. I misread that video and apologize for disagreeing with you.

JimineerI hope this hasn't already been posted. Donald Trump Jr. Speaking in Nevada on a variety of topics including the 2A. He's an impressive young man.

sdyMy message to the young lady in the video is the same as the message to MSNBC.

This will be some hard hitting general election.

ChicagoSigManUnfortunately, it looks like Cruz's path to victory is pretty much non-existent. I wish Trump could have a meeting with him, go through the numbers and offer to put Cruz on the ticket. I think Trump/Cruz could beat any Rubio ticket and demolish Hillary. I think Rubio is a good conservative on most issues except immigration, which is think is a red line for me. I think he'd sign an amnesty bill in his first year, which would be the end of the GOP and the end of the country as we know it. So I just can't support him. I'm no Trump fan at all. I think he is just terrible on many issues (and not truthful about his true positions), but I think he will do less damage than a progressive immigration policy.

parabellumI can't help but think of that reporter from Univision or Telemundo or Sabado Gigante:
"Meestar Trump, joo cannot deport eleven million peoples!!"
We can try.

sdyIf we turn off the free shit, stop giving illegals billions in fraud child tax credits, and crack down on employers who pay them, most of them will leave.
I don't think getting rid of most of them will be that hard.
Not letting them vote would be a good idea also.
February 23, 2016, 09:24 AM
46and2If we deny illegal immigrants the ability to vote, drive, work, or attend school, why would they stay? They stay, now, because we treat them as good or better than our Citizens.
