Well it's crunch time in Iowa. In a few hours, I'll be casting my vote for Trump. I have been a Trump supporter since the beginning. But I have certainly had some doubts along the way (and still do). If I try to explain my choice in the traditional way (i.e. I like his position on this or that issue, or he voted for or against this or that as a senator or governor), I have a difficult time. All I can really say is I STRONGLY agree with his views on immigration, I believe that he truly is FOR America, that he has the strength to do what he thinks is right for this country, and isn't afraid to say what he thinks, no matter how politically un-correct it is. I hope that is enough.
I don't post a lot here, but I do read a lot here. There has been a great deal of good information posted in this thread, and a lot of good opinions which have helped solidify my thoughts. And for that I am grateful.
Chris Stirewalt (FOX reporter) told a story yesterday about going to church in Iowa on Sunday morning. After church he talked to the Pastor and asked him if he was going to the caucuses. He said yes, he was voting for Trump. When Stirewalt asked if there was any particular reason he was supporting Trump, the Pastor replied "No, I am just angry". That about sums it up.
Hope it's not too late to pursuade you to reconsider and vote for Cruz instead.
I agree with all the positive things you've said about Trump:
STRONGLY agree with his views on immigration
I believe that he truly is FOR America
he has the strength to do what he thinks is right for this country
isn't afraid to say what he thinks, no matter how politically un-correct it is
I think the same is also true of Cruz. Plus, Cruz isn't for universal health care, which Mr. Trump is touting more and more as a plank of his platform, whereas Cruz has plainly stated that he wants ObamaCare repealed in full.
Trump has done wonders for us already, has shaken up the establishment Repbulican Party like nobody else could, has shined a light on them proving that the only difference between the establishment Repbulicans and the Democrats is the spelling. For that I thank him and extend my appreciation. If he gets the nomination he'll have my vote.
But Trump is NOT a conservative. We are ultimately not going to be happy with what he delivers to us. We need somebody who will. The closest option we have is Cruz. For that reason I hope it's Cruz on the ticket in November, not Trump.
Thanks,
Sap

There are more ways to play this than stars in the sky, even for current fence sitters like Biden.
True, it's hard to argue with the Dems could do something shady

AckksThat will curb produce sales around his rallies.

At a campaign rally in Iowa Monday, Donald Trump told his audience to “knock the crap out of” protesters, if they saw they were getting ready to throw tomatoes.
“I got a little notice … from security guys,” Trump said at the afternoon rally in Cedar Rapids. “They said, Mr. Trump, there may be somebody with tomatoes in the audience.” The billionaire real estate mogul then instructed attendees on what to do if they noticed anyone about to toss the produce.
“If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Just knock the hell– ” Trump said, before offering to pay to defend them in the court system.
“I will pay any legal fees. I promise, I promise,” Trump said.

I'm not picking on you but everyone needs to understand that ObamaCare is NEVER going to be repealed no matter who is elected. Keep repeating that.

Disagree. At the very least when it collapses under its own weight (as it was designed from the beginning to do), it will be dismantled and replaced with something even worse.

It will never collapse because the gov'ment will keep pumping money into it to prop it up. It is here is stay. I'm as sure of this as the sun coming up tomorrow.

Well, The US government just announced today that it has hit the $19 trillion mark on the national debt. That last trillion took 14 months. What do you want to be that the next one takes less than a year. But don't worry, it will keep going just fine...

BamaJeepsterIf you were on the fence about Trump, this should be the final little push you need!!
This is now his strongest selling point. No way these pampered, sheltered ninnies would ever leave the .gov teat, but I would love to see them squirm under a president Trump.
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballo...ees-would-quit-underPoll: 25 percent of federal employees would quit under President TrumpA quarter of federal government employees say they would consider leaving their jobs if Donald Trump were to become president, according to a new poll.
About 14 percent of respondents — many of which are from government agencies’ top ranks — said they would definitely consider leaving, according to a poll conducted by the Government Business Council. Another 11 percent said they might consider leaving.
Among Democrats, 42 percent said they would consider quitting, while 48 percent said they would not.
Eight percent of Republican federal government workers said they would not work under the real estate tycoon as president.
About 6 in 10 overall would be “embarrassed” to work under President Trump.
The poll was conducted Jan. 20-26 and surveyed 688 federal employees. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percent.

AckksCruz won. It may not mean anything long term for the race other than it gives everyone a chance to explore things. They will push Rubio as the big winner, but with Cruz being alive it's going to block him.
