Looks like I'll have to send Ted some more money.
Dang this was a hard day; but if you judge a man by the enemies he makes, then Ted may be even better than I thought.
Ted's open opposition to the ethanol mandate cronyism is not only right, it's admirable and all too rare for candidates campaigning in Iowa.

I'm disgusted that Palin endorsed Trump. Any residual good feeling I had (not that I've thought about her for a long time) is gone, gone, gone.

I don't think it helps Trump or us. She has marginal credibility, at best. I mean, I guess she helps Trump seem more normal/less moonbatty, but I don't care for her presence here.

And I don't care for the poo being flung in Cruz's direction, either.

Neither bode well, IMO.

I'm confused. Roll Eyes

Trumps brand has been luxury. Luxury hotels, condos, and golf courses. Palin's name is synonymous with trailer parks. Trump had a line of ties retailing at Macy's. McCain had to take Palin to Macy's so she could get "dressed up" to look vice-presidential.

Hey, every now and again a successful guy likes to head over to the other side of the tracks to have a little fun, maybe have a beer instead of a martini Wink

Yup, and therein lies the answer.

Trump is a billionaire from New York City, Palin is from Wasila. She bridges that gap and like her or not, she still has a lot of influence with a whole lot of people.

Cruz is my guy but I will gladly vote for Trump if that is how this all shakes out. This is a huge blow to Cruz, no doubt about it.

Ok, Palin, you got your 24 hours of attention, now shut up and stay out of this candidate race.

Some are saying her endorsement of Trump hurts Cruz, I think it helps him.

That's all Palin's endorsement means. She sided with some guy she thinks is going to win.

Trump STILL has ZERO substance with me...ZERO, I think he is all talk.

What is this news I'm hearing about how Trump is going to [i]force[\i] American companies to build their products here, how is he going to do this?

Details Trump, I want details and so far I'm not impressed.

Would you hire an employee with an empty resume who makes all sorts of promises regarding their ability, or an employee with a resume full of verified experience?

Words mean nothing. Plans mean nothing. Success means something.

Name ONE candidate from either party who has had as much "success" as Trump. Just one!

If you want details go to Donald Trump's web site

I doubt Donald Trump thinks he can force companies to "build their products here" but I am sure he can work with congress to lower corporate tax rates.

Well.... I do see the attraction.

I'm behind Cruz all the way, at least until the nomination process is over.
Then.... it may be time to get on board the Trump Express.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I don't think Trump has duped anyone. I think the voters are angry....really, really angry and are willing to take a chance on a true political outsider rather than what have been traditional untrustworthy politicians. Trump is not my guy, but I can see where this is going. This is his race to lose and can't see what he could do to self immolate. I think for the voter to choose another politician right now after all the Repubs have done to play the conservative tune while dancing with the Left, it would be a very large, hard, dry pill to swallow. My only hope is that Trump makes a good conservative choice for VP and gives that person enough power and influence to temper his volatility as I see it.

No. We are done being duped.
