When Trump shared banter with McCain, he stated his war heroes don't get captured. Maybe he should have told John Lewis he prefers civil rights activists that don't just get beat, but also throw a few punches.

It has been ever thus.

"Those who come in and support us now will receive a full slice of the pie, while those who come in to support us later will get a smaller slice of pie. Those who never get around to supporting us are going to get....... good government!" -- Gov. Sen. Huey Long

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Garth Brooks puts up weak excuse for not performing at inauguration. Pretty lame.

http://www.foxnews.com/enterta...nauguration-gig.html

The country superstar explained in a Facebook Live video that after he was approached by billionaire Steve Wynn about the inauguration gig, Brooks decided to "leave it up to karma." Ticket sales determined Brooks needed to add several dates to his world tour that conflicted with the inauguration.

"I'll tell you with this whole presidential thing: We got one going out. Pray for him and his family. And for the president going in, pray for him and his family to guide this nation," Brooks said. "Let's stay together. Love, unity -- that's what it's all about."

He continued, "We can't thank the Obamas enough for serving this country," he said. "And may God hold Trump's hand in the decisions that he makes in this country's name as well."

A good start. To help the average I suggest cutting the Department of Energy and EPA by 75%, and the Department of Education entirely. Then combine all the damn "intelligence" agencies and move homeland security into the FBI.

Seems like you just flushed the toilet.
Look there's your career circling around the bowl, headed for the drain.

Oh, no he's okay! He's in the Amazon commercials for Alexa, the tool for stupid (mostly white) men. /sarc

Seriously though. Ever see those ads? Idiot men doing stupid things like building a delicate motorcycle in a bottle next to a speaker so loud it's making the bottle wiggle.

Earlier in this thread, it was noted that Peter Thiel, PayPal cofounder, had provided the Trump campaign with a database that reported which job candidates were pro-Trump and which were anti-Trump (with reasons for the classification). I think Trump is making good use of it.

Here is one of the NeverTrump letters w the names on it.

https://warontherocks.com/2016...al-security-leaders/

last paragraph:

"Mr. Trump’s own statements lead us to conclude that as president, he would use the authority of his office to act in ways that make America less safe, and which would diminish our standing in the world. Furthermore, his expansive view of how presidential power should be wielded against his detractors poses a distinct threat to civil liberty in the United States. Therefore, as committed and loyal Republicans, we are unable to support a Party ticket with Mr. Trump at its head. We commit ourselves to working energetically to prevent the election of someone so utterly unfitted to the office."

The statement above was coordinated by Dr. Eliot A. Cohen, former Counselor of the Department of State (2007–8), and Bryan McGrath, Managing Director of The FerryBridge Group, a defense consultancy. They encourage other members of the Republican foreign policy and national security communities wishing to sign the declaration to contact them.

Want to get involved? Read Bryan McGrath’s proposed plan for taking down Trump.

***************
The LTR was dated 2 Mar 2016

Guess the plan didn't go too well.

As time goes on, we will probably forget how incredibly alone Trump was in the primary and even after the primary. Not just alone, but almost everyone was attacking him. Incredible that he was successful.

Don't know how many of you have been following the news about the planing and such of how the anti's want to disrupt the inauguration. Project Veritas has done an outstanding job of outing these treasonist bastards.

http://projectveritas.com/vide...-trump-inauguration/

Their website shows the length and planing they have put into this effort. Looks like they need their asses handed to them...period.
