No sanctuary cities shown in Iowa but we have many sanctuary counties throughout the state. I am fairly certain there will be a rethinking on this if federal funds become threatened.

I would be surprised if there isn't significant fraud, but it will be in areas like Detroit, Milwaukee, Madison, Ann Arbor and Philadelphia and it will be on the part of democrats.

Since it is the democrats doing the investigation and they are looking for those dangerous "Ruskies", the actual fraud may not come to light.

quote:
Appointing Mitt Romney as Secretary of State would be viewed as a major betrayal by many supporters of President-elect Donald Trump, former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told CNN on Sunday.

“It’s just breathtaking in scope and intensity,” Conway said of the opposition to Romney among Trump supporters.

Story Continued Below

“Receiving deluge of social media & private comms re: Romney Some Trump loyalists warn against Romney as sec of state,” Conway wrote on Twitter on Thursday, linking to a POLITICO article about opposition to Romney.

“I felt compelled to come forward on behalf of the people who were weighing in,” Conway said of that tweet.

Speaking to Dana Bash on "State of the Union," she went on to say that she, too, had personal concerns with Romney getting the job of top diplomat, and even took shots at Romney’s own run for president in 2012.

“You know, Gov. Romney ran for the same office four years ago and lost spectacularly,” she said. “Mitt Romney lost Michigan by 10 points, Donald Trump just won it.”

Conway also questioned Romney’s credentials for the job.

“Gov. Romney in the last four years, I mean, has he been around the globe doing something on behalf of the United State of which we’re unaware? Did he go and intervene in Syria where they’re having a massive humanitarian crisis?” Conway asked. “Has he been helpful to Mr. Netanyahu?”

Conway’s comments continued the public bashing of Romney that has been playing out, with top surrogates like Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich also going after the former Massachusetts governor. The spectacle has made it less likely that Romney will land at Foggy Bottom come January.

“I’m all for party unity, but I’m not sure that we have to pay for that with the Secretary of State position,” Conway said. “We don’t even know if Mitt Romney voted for Donald Trump.”

And she wasn't done yet.

Later, on NBC's "Meet the Press," Conway continued to make the case against Romney.

"People feel betrayed to think that Governor Romney, who went out of his way to question the character and the intellect and the integrity of Donald Trump, now our president-elect, would be given the most significant cabinet post of all, Secretary of State," Conway told host Chuck Todd.

"They feel a bit betrayed that you can get a Romney back in there after everything he did."

I think this is spectacular - it means that they are actually listening to what a lot of us are saying and understand just how devastating this would be to the Trump administration

way to go Kellyanne

In one way, 'yes' it is spectacular. However, its also in spectacular bad taste to air dirty laundry in the media like this. Mitt's not my favorite either, but I'd prefer the Republican side of the equation not dabble it mud slinging. Consult with Trump and his transition team about this and let them decide what they will do.

Kelly Anne's been spectacular to date in this campaign, I just wish she's walk a bit easier here and let things play out.

I guess the question is whether this message from her is authorized or if she is breaking ranks?
This could be Kellyanne going rogue or it could be Donald playing chess.

I think I have figured out the reason for all the input. I think many of us just can't wait for Obozo to shove off and President Trump to begin the work of Making America Great Again.

Seems unlikely that Conway would speak so strongly against Romney w/o greenlight from Trump.

Possibility: Trump liked Romney for Sec State. But pushback was so strong that Trump is using Conway as way of backing off, but providing a rationalization.

On the "Guidance" to chill; totally, utterly agree.

Our lefty buddies are going through these spasms because the reflexive position of leftys is always to 'do something', anything, just do 'something' and this is their 'something' this time.

Both Newt and Conway have come out in the last few days with similar messages. They have both been so loyal to him it would make sense that it was authorized. It would give Trump an out while appearing to reach out to the establishment wing.

The Press pounds Trump unmercifully.

Trump fires back.

So The Committee to Protect Journalists writes to Pence:

“the danger that harassment of the press in the United States will be used as a pretext by repressive leaders around the world to persecute their critics.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com...m_term=.8a59ae444151

“President-elect Trump has obstructed major news organizations, attacked reporters by name, and contributed to a threatening climate for journalists covering the election,” Mr. Simon wrote. “These actions in the United States set a terrible example for the rest of the world.”

Liars and propaganda machines should be called out at every opportunity. The Post article lists instances where reporters were imprisoned in foreign countries, as if Trump was to blame.

The Post article says:

"Democracy cannot function unless citizens can be informed, through fair news coverage and not propaganda, of the activities of their rulers."

Problem is we are not getting "fair news" and "not propaganda".

Telling the truth = harassment?! Roll Eyes

Whenever I think for a moment that the news reporting businesses cannot become more delusional, there’s something like this.
As with so many movements these days I can only hope that they keep it up to the point that the entire country recognizes them for what they are.

I read this just now, after posting about 'just doing anything'. Who knew< I'm related to Claire Voyent.

from the art: In a Medium post, lawyer Marc Elias said that the Clinton campaign had received "hundreds of messages, emails, and calls urging us to do something, anything, to investigate claims that the election results were hacked and altered in a way to disadvantage Secretary Clinton," especially in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where the "combined margin of victory for Donald Trump was merely 107,000 votes."

'merely' 107,000 votes. Roll Eyes
