Smart you know there are plants of the left applying for jobs, it's nothing new but if you can find a way to get them out of the process before bringing them in, why not....

I for one would love to see the FBI and DOJ probe into these messages, emails and letters as well as the riots, find out who the paid protesters are, find out who paid for, bused and fed them, follow the money back and go after these folks for whatever they can. At least fully expose them.

sdygood interview w Steve Bannon
http://www.hollywoodreporter.c...ical-movement-948747article author:
In late summer when I went up to see Steve Bannon, recently named CEO of the Donald Trump presidential campaign, in his office at Trump Tower in New York, he outlined a preposterous-sounding scenario. Trump, he said, would do surprisingly well among women, Hispanics and African-Americans, in addition to working men, and hence take Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan — and therefore the election
snip from Bannon quotes:
“I’m not a white nationalist, I’m a nationalist. I’m an economic nationalist,”
“The globalists gutted the American working class and created a middle class in Asia.
The issue now is about Americans looking to not get f—ed over. If we deliver—” by "we" he means the Trump White House "—we’ll get 60 percent of the white vote, and 40 percent of the black and Hispanic vote and we’ll govern for 50 years. That’s what the Democrats missed, they were talking to these people with companies with a $9 billion market cap employing nine people. It’s not reality. They lost sight of what the world is about.”
“It’s everything related to jobs. The conservatives are going to go crazy. I’m the guy pushing a trillion-dollar infrastructure plan. With negative interest rates throughout the world, it’s the greatest opportunity to rebuild everything. Ship yards, iron works, get them all jacked up. We’re just going to throw it up against the wall and see if it sticks. It will be as exciting as the 1930s, greater than the Reagan revolution — conservatives, plus populists, in an economic nationalist movement.”

Trump is going to make a lot of vets happy with that pick if it happens.

Yeah, if. That is what I said right?
If, of "If" or however you want to put it, picking Mattis would make a lot of vets happy.
The article you posted seems to be purely speculation. This one seems to at least confirm Mattis is actually meeting with Trump to discuss it. A discussion does not mean he is going to be confirmed of course but it is closer than Webb seems to be

I've been searching the internet for any other mention of him being vetted for the Trump team, but I can't find anything.

There are a ton out there, but they all seem to link back to this article.
http://www.bloomberg.com/polit...or-defense-secretaryHere are a lot more articles but most of them mention the Bloomberg article so I assume that is where they are getting their news. I hope it is true.

benny6Thanks for the above articles. I'm going to forward them to my daughter (she's active duty in the Marines and voted for Trump). She'll be fired up!

Yeah no problem. Thanks for the original post about it because I rarely read news sites and get most my news from here so I would not have known about it otherwise.

A federal judge who was presiding over a U.S. citizenship ceremony in San Antonio, Texas, said referring to Donald Trump, “He will be your president and if you do not like that, you need to go to another country.”
Judge John Primomo also noted, “I can assure you that whether you voted for him or you did not vote for him, if you are a citizen of the United States, he is your president,” reported the ABC affiliate in Dallas.

Good. Priebus may be part of the establishment, but at least he was loyal to Trump and his agenda. I think that's also why Christie was shown the door. He doesn't need people trying to undermine him. I don't know if the media is floating some names to cause contention, but the choices he has made so far have been really good.

sdyI had forgotten about this:
Three years ago Harry Reid (then Senate Majority Leader) pushed through a change in the Senate rules.
The change reduces the threshold from 60 votes to 51 votes for Senate approval of executive and judicial nominees
The rule change does not apply to Supreme Court nominees, who are still subject to a 60-vote filibuster threshold, or to legislation.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/...lear-senate/3662445/I hope Sessions gets confirmed. That would be a fun filled transition brief from Loretta Lynch to Jeff Sessions.
And James Comey's new boss back in early October said he thinks the Senate should investigate how the FBI granted immunity to Clinton Foundation director Cheryl Mills and destroyed evidence under congressional subpoena.
Sessions said the more he learns about Comey and the FBI’s operating outside of the bureau’s regular practices, the more concerned he becomes.
